I went to see Johnny Clarke last week.  He played to a room of about 90 of us, in a disused church in the docks area of Cardiff.  The man was magnificent and I feel so privileged to have been one of those 90.

I wrote a review on the concert and it was put on reggaewales.com and I have had some rather nice feedback from its members.

Jah Shaka coming next I believe.  Bring it on !

Respect!
There is a lovely reggae festival in Slovenija (part of ex Jugoslavija) Lakesplash 2006 (29.6-2.7.) This year is the first time on new location...very beautiful nature, very friendly people. Usually people come first on this festival and then they continue to Rototom (7.-15.7) in Italy.
Check the link http://www.vinylmaniarecords.si/Reggae_Lakesplash/Lakesplash2006_medijsko_slo.htm
I guess not alot of you understand slovene languge  , try to find the english version.
Stay blessed! Melita

i live in peterborough ,Cambs UK, we regularly have David Roddigan and various other Dj's and artists, like Freddie Mcgregor play at a club called the Park.people from all over come here. Afterwards, in fact every friday and saturday, we have the Vibes bar, which hosts a different sound system each nite, and has a lisence till 7am (and my daddy Paul owns it!) its very small, but has a great atmosphere and great music.

Hiya all,

I don't suppose any of you know if the Roots, Rock, Reggae Festival is going to be on in Europe do you? I really hope so!

peace
xXxXxXx

I dunno so much about festivals in Europe, but I'm going to;

URF, a cool festival in the north of sweden the 10-12 of august; http://www.uppsalareggaefestival.com/. Haven't been there, but hopefully this year.

Summerjam, in Germany, near Köln is it a huge festival the 14-16 of july. www.summerjam.de. It is a lake, in the middle of the lake is the festival area with music, and the camping is around on the beach/land

See ya there!
