Now yu ah guh tink seh mi ah sell to mi faith in Rastafari but on 3/29/06 at approximately 3:20 pm, I-man was sworn into de U.S. Army. Dem gimme ah job as a bridge crewmemba and ah buh gimme bonuses and tings like dem. But de real hard part weh mi nuh like is de fact dat dem waan I and I fi cut I locks. Mi scheduled fi ship out to Missouri pon de 20TH ah April. Jus wanted fi give unu a heads up on de BLING. Yu see mi?

How do you think you will feel lining up a human target down the scope of your gun?

I once applied for the army and passed the Officers exam and would have gone in except for the committment of being away from my children. They hounded me mercilessly to take the next step and i was only going in as a medic. So glad i didn't now.

If you must do this, then take care. You will be in my prayers.

I taank all ah yu for yu support, remarks, consideration and attitudes about dis whole situation. De reason why mi join de Army ah becah one de sergeant dem call mi house and explain why de Army is a good choice fi young people. Mi join becah mi want an alternative besides college, cah yu done know seh college education water down and mi nuh care too much bout it. And when mi get back, mi gway'n pursue mi music career and mek tunes fi mi people and fi Jah. Some ah yu actin' like dem will actually send mi go ah Iraq fi infantry. Of course dem ah teach I and I fi protect I area and I-man. If mi faced wid a situation weh mi haffi kill a man (all ah yu ah guh smite mi fi dis one), it's either me or him. De sight ah blood nuh scare mi. Dis is all fi ah good cause. Mi pray pon it and Jah tell mi fi cut and guh through wid it. Jus becah mi gway'n cut mi locks nuh mek dat fool yu. Man ah still Boboshanti and dread fi eternity! As soon as mi leave de Army, mi can grow it back. I'll be 23 by then. Suh taanks again and Jah bless yu!
