Stopped?, by whom?

By those with clarity removing all avenues of its perpetuation.

What is to be MUST be, Nothing remains the same...EVER.

Which is why I am so insistent that Rastafari is not a thing.

I man what ini mean is that selassie made it clear many time that all of jah children should be aloud to do what they want well aside from what the ible seh i man see that ini may have worded it a bit oddly and ini say sorry for that

And besides that did I ever mention I self as being as you call it again "the boss man" ?

and man u acting like you decide what happens in the movement when it is for jah to decide and i know that as another man said not all man come to rasta to go back to africa man like most white man come to it to help them overstand the black man and to get closer to mother earth however there are some that dont and well if its the ones that dont you gotta problem with ini got some advise for you "dont judge the group by the individual" if thats not ya problem i naw really see what problem you got so ima fraid you need His imperial majesties guidance.

Oh ... so you have no problem with any color or race and yet you can't accept the fact that there is "No White God ?"
LOL. U R sooo very funny but, on the the wrong Internet site - totally !!

Show me  - by saying the words of Sizzla - where him slandered. Show me where Sizzla said something that is rascist !!?? Where  !!??
Write down the words, that him said, that you claim to be rascist !! Go ahead ....

Even after this post I will be still waiting to see something that is not !! This is one thing I can guarantee cause there is nothing that is gonna come out of your mouth other than slandering over something you have no idea about !!

Black people do not need for everyone fe be black but, everyone want to be I and I !! Look around you - you fool !! It is you who dress like us...try to be like us...try to make music like us... try to act like us and not the other way around !! We taught you how to wear your clothes, how to eat your food, how to play real music..etc., etc., and now you wanna come tell I about you ...LOL.

You are of no interest to I !! None at all !! It is not I who is on "your site" right here !! No !! It is you who is on I and I site !! LOL. So it is you who are following I and I and not the other way around !!

If you do not like it then go elsewhere - simple as that !

Fool.

Prophet, the I very confusing to say the least. You are a hypocrite to I. The I says "So now you wanna take I "something" (that is what I said !!!) and turn it around to make it look like I called Rastafari a "thing" !??" Bredda Rastafari did not turn any words around. You, however, have. We never said we started Rasta. You put words in our mouths. The I does not "defend" your beliefs, but offends the others. And also the I denies Jesus? Then you must also deny H.I.M. or Moses or Ilijah. Unless I nah overstand? We all here to learn, not try to usurp power from the I. So please lose your anger, bredda. Jah Love

I have tried to ignore your postings in order to avoid this but, you just would not let go so you get what is coming to ya....

So, I am a hypocrite to you ? Well to tell you the truth I don't give a :::: !! Who are you that I have to go so low in order for you to accept I and I ?? Huh !!?? LOL. If you can READ then you would see who it is I was talking to/ replying to and if you had brain then you would be able to complete the puzzle but, you have deeply failed...So now you wanna come confuse others upon here by asking I things that make no sense at all.

JEEZ-US is dead and since you follow the dead you go die too. HIM is not JEEZ-US in the sense that HIM has come in a new NAME/FORM/CREATION. TRANSPIRED to a HIGHER STATUS. The old (actually younger) is dead and now come the NEW that you nah and probably will never know. You don't get it... do you ? LOL...well it is not for you to get - this is not your thing and that is why you will never get it !! You and the rest of you with your mentality are just followers of what does not belong to you. That is the reason why you do not get it !!

Learn to read and when you have done that then read what has been said !! For I and I every CONTRADICTION is still a question that has to be answered. If it was an answer allready then there would be no further questions !! Simple as that. Get your head straight !! Don't smoke it if you cant take it !!

Got more curiosity/questions ??

I have thought about it for many years and been influenced by the music over the last 25 years or so. I was to affraid to take the first steps for rear of rejection but now I see the truth that I also can follow the ways of rasta and become one with JAH. Thanks for your posts may the love of JAH be with you all :)

Here's the full lyrics to "No White God" by Sizzla.  I don't see any hint of racism on Sizzla's part.  To me, the song is about how the heretical colonial Christians distorted the truth to maintain oppressive control over others, and how it continues today in a more subtle way:

Quote
Lyrics to No White God by Sizzla:     Correct These Lyrics

"True God"
[Intro]
Don't seduce to reduce my knowledge
becauce i will always brake those barriers
and breakdown bondage
oh lord god almighty grant my privlage
yuh see i have to overvome all de wickied
dem and dem false things

[Chorus]
i have no white god
don't teach me anything wrong
could u white god
save me from white man oppression
i have no white god
is just ah black messiah
if u white god ah bless u
him no bless sizzla
[Repeat once]

[Verse One]
i want what is rightfully mine
so me nah stay mute
your system is design
to distract me from d truth
but it will come to pass
and known unto d youths
in d process of time
we will know d truth
u give we white god to praise his slavery
d doctrine follow on in d black community
d black messiah yuh try to shield with fantasy
but we nah go make u destroy d love with luxury
that's why
have to touch home
i have no place in babylon
as i go dey make me victim of dem wrongtious action
oh god i won't be conqured in this region
oh yes i have to stand and go strong
http://www.free-lyrics.org/Sizzla/249306-No-White-God.html

[Chorus]
don't tell me of yuho white god
don't teach me anything wrong
could u white god
save me from white man oppression
i have no white god
is just ah black messiah
if u white god ah bless u
him no bless sizzla
[Repeat once]

[Verse Two]
oo me face contort with anger
cause that no right
how could all things
good and valuable must be white
what about d black that did de most in life
u and u white supremacy
waan treat as yuh
u change d version of d bible
who u ah trick
memba all who do evil
won't go unpunish
bear u iniquity u have no wisdom nor witt
all evilous people shall sink inna ah

[Chorus]
i have no white god
don't teach me anything wrong
could u white god
save me from white man oppression
i have no white god
is just ah black messiah
if u white god ah bless u
him no bless sizzla
[Repeat once]

[Verse Three]
cause when i and i ah trodd
is like moses with d rodd
with one strong backing it's the mighty father god
he's d only second party that sizzla have
fi guide me tru d darkness
where d heathen dodge
there wasn't any doubt
but d voice was made to shout
behold jah jah youth
ah onplete d route

[Chorus]
i have no white god
don't teach me anything wrong
could u white god
save me from white man oppression
i have no white god
is just ah blackness i ah
if u white god ah bless u
him no bless sizzla

Regarding the subject, my only observation is that the number of descendants of said colonial oppressors weighing in to champion the cause for acceptance of "white rastas" makes me suspicious.  I think those who insist on qualifying rastafari with skin color (in this case "white", which is the pattern) need to seriously ask themselves why it is so important to them that there be white Ras?  Did His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I ever decree a non-african to be a Ras in Ethiopia?  Never to my knowledge.

On the other hand, Shashamene was established as land freely given to Africans in diaspora who were in that shituation as a result of specifically white racist oppression.

What makes a Ras?  Well, a Ras has been granted territory, either by birth or imperial decree.  The responsibilty of the Ras is to govern and develop the land for it's own benefit and the people on it.  I try to see His Imperial Majesty's actions regarding outside world and the diaspora in light of this.  The shashamene grant is both an actual and symbolic imperial action - actual because some people in diaspora have returned and some continue to return to Africa and assume the rasponsibility of Africa's development (both land and people) through Shashamene.  But it is also symbolic because it demonstrates the will of HIM in regards to the diaspora: come back and work for the betterment of Africa (the land and the people).  Shashamene communicates clearly to the diaspora that they have a part in Africa (the land and the people).  A Ras is a noble African, and HIM was calling the most noble people to wake up and work for Africa.

I know of only one example where HIM granted land to Europeans - which was to Greeks so they could build a monastery and church to serve the spiritual needs of Greek orthodox people working in Ethiopia.  However, this was also in return for land in Jerusalem that the Greeks deeded to the Ethiopians for similar purpose - to meet the spiritual needs of Ethiopians in Jerusalem and re-establish the ancient Ethiopian presence in Jerusalem that had been temporarily broken.  It also represents the continuation of a long and often mutually respectful relationship between the Greek and Ethiopian people.  Clearly this is different than the type of territorial grant, responsibility and honours given a Ras.  Nowhere does HIM give land to Europeans to develop and govern.

Contrast the picture of a Ras above with the average modern era European descendant who identifies as "Rasta"
1. no African lineage
2. no African land by birth or royal decree
3. willingly excludes themself from the economy in the name burning babylon and therefore is very rarely in a position to help Africa whatsoever
4. or perhaps, like many on this forum are dependent on their parents (and probably dishonours their parents too through their disobedience)

So why all this insistence on White Rasta?  How is this not a subtle insistence on White Government of Africa and Africans?  That is what you're saying if you want to be a White Ras, because a Ras governs African land and people!  It seems pretty childish to me.  It should be left to the Africans to decide who governs Africa (the land and the people).  Clearly no colonial descendants should wear the title Ras.  That's about all I have to say on the subject, and I know it makes me into a hypocrite because I'm expressing my opinion on a subject that I clearly have no involvement in deciding being the euro-descendant I am who still lives in the USA.

Interesting Nepsis. You are 'upset' with colonial descendants dishonoring and disobeying their parents? because they are white?

Babylon mentality transcends any national borders and you are suggesting that people shouldn't be allowed to hail the divinity of Haile Selassie the first depending on where and by whom they are born?

Oskar, thanks for reading and thinking about my post.  Whether I'm upset is really no matter, or rather it's my problem.  But really im used to it by now, one doesn't have to dig deep into posts to find the pattern I observe.  Europeans and relatives in colonies come on here and claim to be African royalty.  You haven't noticed this?  If you ever did argue for "White Rasta", do you still feel that its proper and respectful to identify as a White Ras as you have progressed in your education?

Speaking for myself, in light of what I know about the history of the tribes/nations I come from, I think it would be completely disrespectful and silly to refer to myself as a Ras.  I don't think that self proclaimed "White Rastas" mean to be disrespectful, I think they're intent is to conscientiously turn away from the legacy they were born with.  The intent is something I relate to, just my conscience, informed by knowledge leads me down a different path.

Babylon mentality does not transcend.  To me that's giving it power and qualities it simply doesnt have.  It is elusive and infectious, which is different.

What I have in mind when I mentioned disobedience is when youth disregard their parents concerns about their health and well being - particularly the pattern is in the use of herb despite their parents wishes to the contrary.  And by the way, disobeying a parents request to do evil is not the same thing as disobeying a parents request that comes from their genuine concern for health and wellness.  I hate my parents and strive to leave their mentality behind.  I love and am grateful to my parents for their care and goodwill towards me and the image of God in them.  When I was under their care and they were still breathing, I disobeyed them at times if they told me to do evil.  It sucks that I have been in that circumstance, and I make the effort not to repeat this same sick and twisted shit with my children.  Of course I also disobeyed them for requests that were fair and harmless, because I sin and seek after my own pleasure (not a good reason, but it's the truth).  In the long run, some disobedience is not dishonor.  Some is.

African's that I know, whether they identify as Rasta or not, do not advocate disobedience to parents as acceptable behavior, much less noble and dignified.  So yes, the disobedience pattern I'm talking about is limited to self identified white kids the world over.  My criticism is not because of them being white.  It's the pattern not the cause.

Last but not least, I am not suggesting that people shouldn't be allowed to hail the divinity of Haile Selassie.  Or maybe I am unconsciously, and haven't noticed it.  Care to explain your statement?

First off, i don't identify as or argue for "White Ras". I think either you know rasta, meaning you know the divinity of Haile Selassie the first, or you don't. You don't have to be a king ruling people in africa. That's how I interpreted your post anyhow.

As for respecting your parents, when christ is talking about his Father he is not talking about flesh and blood parents, he is talking about the Almighty. So, I think you should always follow the will of the Almighty.

greetings again Oskar.  The first recorded earthly miracle of Christ in the Gospel is in obedience to his flesh and blood parent - his Mother.  He even states that he would not have done what he did otherwise.  In Christ there is no conflict between the will of the Almighty and the will of she who bore Him - flesh and blood.  A prime example of divine-human synergy - Prime Royal behavior of the King, humble respect for the good wishes of His Queen.   A blessed wedding indeed.

Is a Rasta a Ras?  What is the relationship between the two?  Where does African royal blood fit into what you know/understand?  Is the RAS part of Rasta stripped of meaning in your world view?
