Greetings Yes, Ras Evan is famous for his sarcasm, need a bit of humour at RastaNicks! I know I'm guilty of it too, but we should all read around the topics to learn what others have already questioned. Jah bless

Hi, i am new to this site, and religion as a whole, but the passion rastafarians have really blows my mind. I love listening to rasta music, it fulfills my soul, even if a deeper overstanding is lacking. But on the topic of can a white man be a rasta, i have a question. I was told that the first man came from Africa, therefore making all men descendants of Africa, white, black, asian etc. So surely if this is true all people can be Rasta's?

Hey all
I am sorry that i snapped like that, it is only that i have been looking on the forum and saw the same tipic on nearly every page.
Yes a white man can be a rasta but they cant just claim to be a rasta when they know the basic's. study and perfect, dont gain the world and lose your sole, wisdom is better than silver and gold- (bob marley)
Learn on my friend
Jambo This is why new peoiple like myself, who have a great interest in Rastafari, are adraid to post a question, in case we look 'Stupid' or seem to not have knowlege on the matter. How does a man learn anything if he isn't taught? I'm sure all drivers have - at one time - been the learner driver in front of someone who is loosing their patience. It's just like that. We were ALL learners once.

Blessings to all. My father used to say to me ' we all have salty tears and we all have red blood'! God doesn't see colour! Peace to all of you Rose
Well said. And is it not true that it matters not the mouth the message comes from. It's the message that is imporatant!

Greetings,
In my opinion of course a white man can be a Rasta, one must know the origins and beginnings of the movemnt as Black Liberation, to emancipate the slaves from the slavedrivers.
Jah Bless

yes. When Christ come, him at first came only for the lost sheep of israel, ie black people, then, after certain time, he said all people were welcom and jah can raise children of Israel from di rocks, so is same as then now as i man see. Starting as a black movement in order to bring black people to a sense of self knowledge and respect. But over time it inevitably will reach all nations of people. Every knee shall bow. Blesses
