I would not worry a wit on people of this kind. They are not knowledgable of how rastafari came to be and most of them are stuck in a christian material dreamworld. People like this do not see the SPIRIT POWER in herb and most of the time have no clue about spiritual self realization and getting closer to the Almighty through works of goodness. I would advise that you try and explain that yes, rastafari is NOT a religion, but it is a path where the I believes in ONE ALMIGHTY GOD who is the creator of the universe and all things. We just happen to call him Jah. Oh, let him know also that all rastas do not smoke herb. It is a free choice among bredren. Peace

I am still in school and I have a very similar problem, one of my classmates keeps saying that all rasta is, is smoking the herb and getting stoned and when I tell him rastas don't have to smoke it he comes back with " then what is it then if you dont smoke dope" very annoying but  I just ignore him

If they are somewhat reasonable try to educate them as it is only through truth and knowledge that we can combat Babylonian ignorance. If not, just ignore them brother, InI still at school also and go through this problem all the time.

At least almost everyday, Ive encountered people like that,
some people are just too lazy enough to listen,and some have already
have hard stalks that cant be bend.
People live the life they live, so Iman just have Ignore them,
But when them Ask question on me about ganja negatively.
Ill always say this " why critized the Almighty's creation,
while you are promoting Man creations, like advertising Cigarette,
Alcohol and Specially MSG(monosodium Glutamate). Hazardous side effects
of Parmacuetical Products.. Junk foods, ...etc.

Why not start to overstand Jah's creation, and experience every
healing properties it gives both Physically and Ispiritualy.

I to go to school but I only had a problem like that once and I simply taught the I about it and he now respects it a lot more.
