yes rasta believe in god, but we believe in a different god than Christians do. we believe that Selassie I is god, but instead of saying god we say Jah which is a shortened word for Jahovah.

I think that in every religion the main thing is your understanding of the rules of our Lord. and the way you name the God is not so important. But it is for me. and I can't agree that rastafarians believe in the different God that Christians do, because God is one, unique for all the nations and confessions. and I think that Christians,Judaists,Muslims and Rastafarians believe in the same God-creator, but they understand the scriptures differently.

@  Remember!! brother KE,  not all Rasta belive in selassie as god,

@ 1080man, there are different 'parts' of Rastafari, Bobo, nyahbinghi and 12 tribes of israel are just a few, we are all Rasta but belived in slightly different things, these are like (church of England, Catholic, protestant ext ext ext)

The 12tribes of Israel is close to Christianity, but we rasta say that Rasta livity is true Christianity,

this ok??

I am sorry for the misoverstanding, by "different" I meant a different name, not a different god.

iman personaly do not belive Selassie is the most high. I have a few reasons.
InI see I in twelve tribes, I am 'patriotic' to my king, my king is Selassie! HIM is a direct descendent from King solomon the wise! We have to celebrate his name! iman see selassie as a prophet, with Jesus being the messiah!

Seen bredrin KE??

Daniel, 3 44
Daniel prophecies - And in the days of these Kings shall the God of Heaven set a kingdom which shall never be destroyed: and the Kingdom shall not be left to other people,[/i] but [/i] it shall break in pieces and consume all these Kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

Yah see whether yah place His Majesty or Yeshua the embodiment of KRT/Christ as the King....there is a Oneness...as His Majesty Ra-presents That ONE.....thru the forwarding of the Ethiopian Christian Orthodox Church
seen?
it is deep so deep, Christianity will take the I deep, if the I insists on the continual quest for TRUTH in regards to HisANDHerstory....look upon the forgotton books too, the Ones the Romans that have the audacity to call demselves Christians have CONveniently lost (hidden, suppressed, discredited) Like the Book of Thomas, Book of Enoch, Book of Mary Magdelene, the Aquarian Gospel.....for example... for a more well rounded view of Christianity.....if the I seeks into the annuls of History...Christianity will take the I right back to Ithiopia...as well as Egypt & India even to the Stars, the Pleadies,(Taurus the Bull) Sirius (Osiris), Venus, Mars....and so on......the journey continues....Astrology, Numerology, Symbology.......and so on......
Am I clarifying tings a little?
Bless and Guidance

Christians focus mostly on the new testament. To me its seems like they have missed out so so much, for one i still dont know why they say god, not jah.

i mean i accept Jah God and Lord, but why do christians JUST use god
