10 ministers wants Elton John banned
Elizabeth W Allard
Friday, March 30th 2007

Ten Evangelical Ministers who have formed themselves into a Committee have renewed their calls for the banning of Sir Elton John from visiting Tobago under the Immigration Act Article 8 (18/1).

Under the Act homosexuals are not allowed to enter the country, except as provided in subsection (2).  Entry into Trinidad and Tobago of the persons described in this subsection, other than citizens and, subject to section 7(2), residents, is prohibited, namely, prostitutes, homosexuals, or persons earnings of prostitutes or homosexuals, or persons reasonably suspected as coming to Trinidad and Tobago for these or any other immoral purposes.
Sir Elton who recently celebrated his 60th birthday has proclaimed himself a homosexual.  He is coming by his private jet on April 29 to perform at the Plymouth Jazz Festival.  Two of the Ministers, Pastors Whitfield Lawrence and Terrance Baynes expressed disappointment that the State was not lifting their voice on the issue.  The Pastors recently met with Chief Secretary Orville London to discuss the matter and according to them he advised them to divert their energies to other pressing matters on the island while Tourism Secretary Neil Wilson has called for whoever is without sin to cast the first stone.

Quoting Romans 1:27 Pastor Lawrence stated that according to the Bible, homosexuality was wrong and emphasised that the Church was not being prejudicial against homosexuals since they were human beings like everyone else.  However, he said, while the church loved the sinner it will not condone the sin, and those who wish to follow the Christian principle will be taught.
The Pastors said their Church had no intention of staging any placard demonstration on arrival of Sir John but will continue to pray over the situation.  They said the question of him being knighted by the Queen was a non issue and pointed out that Sir Elton's visit will have a negative effect on the island overtime, as there seemed to be a gay agenda.

Trinidad and Tobago has enough skeletons in its closet to not bother with Elton's skeletons.  InI was almost killed in Trinidad and Tobago just recently because InI have videos that show police officers, teachers, foreigners, ministers and others using children for sex.  And the Prime Minister's wife thanking InI for the "dedicated service" InI provide for the youth of our nation, and doing nothing to help the children she had video footage of being sexually abused.  Children who can't help themselves.  The government in Trinidad and Tobago and the Ministers need to clean out their own closets before they have the right to say anything of a sort to Elton John.  InI have tapes of Ministers in Trinidad and Tobago forcing little boys to have sex with them.  Who are they to speak about homosexuality?  InI don't just make hash statements, InI have video to prove what InI say.

The I said, "WELL LETS SEE THESE TAPES/VIDEOS.."  These tapes/videos has cost a lot of people their peace and some their lives.  Real people worked real hard to get the evidence InI managed to get out with.  Some are still looking over their shoulders for their safety.  Some has lost citizenship status and rights in their country.  Some lost family and jobs.  Some were left with Post Traumatic Stress and a lot more.

For six years we patrolled, monitored, feed and interviewed victims.  InI held some of these victims in InI's arms as they attempted to kill themselves.  InI fought hard for some of these children and is still paying the price for this.  When the I has had real guns held against his head for not handing over these tapes/videos, the I can say whatever he wishes.  BUT it really is a hazard to one's life and freedom when one has this type of a job to do.  By telling what InI have already told InI have to pay the penalties.  That would be fine if it was only InI to worry about.  But there are children, people who will pay if their part was revealed.  Brother, politricks is not easy to stand up against.  There is InI's Kingman and his family, the victims and their family.  So much to Isider.  In Trinidad and Tobago, the police is a law onto themselves.  They can do whatever they choose to do.  Not all the time the things they do are legal.  However no one has stood up against them and lived to tell about it.  It's NOT that easy to just show the tapes.  Many top government officials in Canada as well as Trinidad and Tobago as well as newspaper editors and television hosts have copies of these tapes.  None has been brave enough to stick their necks out so far.
