I as a man would love the word RastafarI to be distinctive to the culture without fanatical emphasis to be related to the name of a historical figure and so forth all the strifes for justifications, and Edmonds Jerome found himself explaining this somehow. RastafarI, or rather Rasta-for-I; Just like all things prevailant to the society, it must have origins, let it be recognise, wherever it could have come from; it is Freedom from all social entrapments. Politically, Economically and on individual basis. ANd I an I know the source of freedom... It is thru the power of the Most I that shined thru Marcus Garvey, H.I.M Haile Selassie I and many more Freedom fighters known to recent history of victory of good over evil. Yes I, Lets give JAH thanks and Praises !
I had loved the dreadlocks answer that Edmond Jerome gave. That they have individulistic connection to the Nazarite Vows; and went on to dissect the roots of the words itself... Nice. And i noticed his fustration with fashionable rastalikes. Well, if i could have to say sumn' to him; I would rather encourage the I Edmonds not to bother about the outerlooks and iconology for social identification and selfrighteousness among the people. I trust JAH that if dreads are worn for free expression of Beauty and Innocence; they have magnetic power. I have felt it among some idren who i had came thru. I as a man dont wear dem dreads but doesnt mean i dont have the vow. And also, me is not against fashionable dreads as i worship beauty in all its manifest; be it thru the work of man or Ital... To make urself beautiful is sacred act; so the same applies to dreads. Keep on creating the better paterns of life. God had left that into our hands as well, dont u forget this as well !
The only evil is the culture of immitation... It is a dead transmission of outer values that contains no living substance to it. So the quality of simplicity and overflowing love is both magnetic and lively contagious. Rasta-For-I has no compatriot to Babylon. So I an I must know: RastafarI is not Team perfomance. Because in that, each and every element within must have a character. Imposition of character is denial of consciousness. So this must be clear, political like motivations are for the mass. Freedom and individuality goes hand and hand. And consciousness is its living glory, and unique beauty is its splendour. It is authenticity and the Truth... So to set InI Free. No need for rational justification and defending philosophy. Selflove is the key, and Love is the true religiousness.
Of Music:
Well, Music has one significancy... It is interesting meeting of the two realities. Of Heaven an Earth. In the future I n I hope Rastas will relate it better to what it real means to the culture.
Music is a unity of two diametrical opposite realities of WORDS and FLOWING... And life itself is such THAT.
Words are synonym to dimension of Power in manifestation state. The Musical flow is the fluidity that give rise to possibility of all life Patterns; and it is feminine. U may say thru Feminity, the Masculine gives the structure. So this is what in christians, they call it the Holy Spirit...
So when One makes the Song made by Words and Music, s/he outpicture the enigma of Living Systems as the entire Cosmos is made of... Words and Music
Reggae Music is one of man made rhythms that are so in tune to the universal heartbeat as reveberate in resonance to the Heart center in human multidimensional constitution. And since non of popular science can fanthom the 'Biological Time Clock' in human systems which governs all the pulses and rhythms... Well, some already know that deep within; it is related to the Sun dynamics and hence entire cosmic family.
Male essence radiate the systems and give them light and a sense of certain pattern. So it is outreaching. Feminine essence fabricates within certain matrix seed; and its nature is to nurture, and preserve all the growing systems. So it is enclosing. So feminity wraps around while masculine lights up. So light is instatenous and direct while Feminity is non instantenous and resembles Warmth and Heat. Heat is energy which doesnt take place instantenously as all feminine characteristics follows stirrings and warming up. This applies to cosmological systems too... The Expanding Universe.
So reggae will always proove powerful as within it; Inspiration about the Essence of Being is Expressed in Words and superimposed in the rhythm that too connects naturally to the truth and its gross nature.
Freedom and Imancipation is a soul cry... Reggae music can be a catalyst to Remebrace of UNIVERSAL HEARTBEAT, which manifests itself as LOVE which warms the hold together the entire Universe to have the Quality of ONENESS and UNITY of being Three in One. The Father Matrix (Power), the Mother Holy Spirit (Love)+ The Regenerative Product, The SON.
I an I are the Idren of Rastaman, Of the Higher Man, Of the Most 1... And we can JAM it along way thru Reggae Music to remember our origins. JAH is I roots, Rasta is I culture and shoots. Deep down InI Give Thanks to the mother Earth for Nourishment and Sustenance. Up in shoots of culture, InI dance and lift I sight into the Most High and Give Praises !
