listen idren,
there is madness on the forum, and also in a topic called Ass Licking" Approach.
This is about only a Black skin man be rasta. i cannot overstand how someone's wisdom can be so little? Rasta is about the person inside. Can A Rasta can be recognised by the colour of his SKIN??? Nonsence! Check it all bob marley fans. was bob marley a rasta because he was half white?? MADNESS!!
bob said himself that: "i represent no skin colour, iani not black i am not white, i am a rasta.
how can my bredrin and sistren determine a rasta by skin tone. Jah lives in everything. every skin colour, if you be Black White Brown Blue or any colour. Jah live in all
Listen to HIM, and Idren this is the exactly the topic which is dividing all Rasta.
We are all brothers sisters, why can some not see?
Skin is of no significance, it is only a colour. its the hearts spirit and mind. People from both White/black skin have made mistakes in the past,
LETS MOVE ON! AND LIVE IN BROTHERHOOD AND PEACE WITH NO SEPERATION. WE ARE RASTA SO LETS SPRED THE WORD OF JAH.
we are of no colour skin. . . . . . . . . WE ARE RASTA SKIN!!
bless

InI overstand what the I is saying, and I agree, Rasta should not fight down Rasta, regardless of what color. But we must not disregard race, until White Supremacy(Racism) no longer exist.
A white person can function as an individual, a non-white person cannot function as anything other than a Victim of Racism(VOR).
Blessings!!!

InI agree also the arguing needs to stop. but the topic isn't about black and white, it is about not giving in to babylon and not being a victim to white supremacy... well that's what I got out of it. blessings and love. ke.

Greetings, Passion and Peacefullness, fire and Ice. We are what we are. Though many come to see that in oneself lies a yearning for everyone to get along in peace, The more we try to see them, the less we see ourselves.
I and I overstand the burning desire for color to be brushed aside, yet I and I also see the crucial Importance it has. It is a Part of who we are. Individuals gifted our strengths (and weakness) by Jah The Almighty One.
Humbleness always is not far in this discussion, for only with the ability to look at oneself, may we begin to see others. Many will not get this. It is here we come at a crossroads and some trod this path to the Most I for the rest of their days. Some break off this board to take what they have learned and take it to another place.
2 years ago, much of the same thing was going on the board. There were other elders, just as I man was coming in to read and not post much. Then, choosing to say a similar thing as Bredren Rootsridge has said, I man chose to say it to senior Empress . A Sistren who had enough with the newbies coming with the fire to burn one who was/IS so much further along than I was at the time. I and I have thought of her very much after she soon departed the boards.
It is with the Utmost Love I and I say that we must look to the truth that reveals itself to we each at these different points on our trod. Without holding another in Judgment, for this is not our Job. Our Job is to learn from each other and take it outside to make a difference. Each of we have a difference we can make, but first we must come to some sort of peace within our self as to who we are.
There are many who will not calm themselves to see the Import of Meditation. Not in some studio, rather in Nature. Among the living things of this earth, to be one with them. To develop a sense of peace so as to not send out the vibration of caution or question. This relates in that there are many diff rent animals in the Forest, yet each has its purpose, and all are different. To Ignore color is to ignore a core Identity of whom we are dealing with. It far further that we must look to see where this "problem" lies. If we think this word color, aligns us with a stereotype, we must look to what is truly being said before we get upset.
If we are to eliminate the problem let we see that we should try to see the VERY LIGHT that surround the People we are dealing with. I man have not gotten to this point, nevertheless, I and I know it is there, I just don't see it. Sometimes we get the "feeling" of where this person is coming from, but can never really be sure.
If this is one thing I man Have learned, it is that those that seem to threaten, also have a side we are not seeing. usually, it is our communication that is messing up the Overstanding, for if we get the chance to engage the person, we learn a different side of them, and we come to a common raspect. We also have the option to not engage the at all. Why should it Bother us so?, and whom shall be the Judge of That?.
Look to the Light, We are One. ~S~

Bless Up Family
Idrens...Yes, it does get tiresome and many start to engage in Reasoning and step away due to the unrest that is often found among ones they came with the intention of learning from. However, Ras -Nevoe and Bredren Surfon is correct in this matter. Though it would be a wonderful world if we can all just drop the 'color' issues, it just is NOT REALality.
Now for some they have to actually EXperience the Hostility involved in All areas of Humanity for I-dividuals of colour. Many 'White' I-dividuals spend their whole lives attempting to MAKE UP for the Reality of being white in an world that is still unfortunately Un-fair to people of colour due to the REALaity and Istory of White Supremacy. They are the ones that spend their life in active service towards ALL Humanity. Yet, that does NOT mean that the problems are solved.
It would be a beautiful world indeed if we were all able to Beautify the planet with our various colour as the flowers do Compliment each other in a Garden, but with the I-istory that Humanity has left behind for our children to bear that is not possible. A broken television cannot fix itself just because we have left it sitting in a corner by itself and failed to address the fact that it is indeed broken and will not work until someone fixes it. The same way Racism and 'Colour' will not go away.
Our difficulty in 'fixing' this crisis is simply that we no longer LISTEN to HOW ones are saying the things they are saying when REASONING. We focus on WHAT we assume is being said and we REACT defensively when it was NOT an attack necessarily, but perhaps a KNOCK of one asking for entrance into our Minds, Our HIGHER self, Our Irit. If we spent more time Listening to TONE we would see that we are indeed capable of working together in order to make this world a better place for ALL of Humankind, regardless of the colour issue. But alas, that is not the case.
InI once had to explain to InI's boys when they were quite young (now 20 and 23)some of the benefits of being DEAD. InI Ilieve it is of Relevance here. InI Explained to them that the DEAD does NOT CRY, HURT nor BLEED anymore. And when we find the right formula to Counter Racism, the pains and scars that was built on white supremacy will no longer Bleed or Cause Pain and we will Not be forced to Cry over it anymore.
InI Ilieve we never truly KNOW what we truly WANT or NEED until we Find it. When we find the solution to the Race issue we WILL KNOW and Overstand that indeed that is truly what we actually NEEDED.
As one gets older and more Experienced in years we tend to look back and see so many things we would have done differently if we only knew better. The problem right now is that we still do not know better, hence the reason for us to REASON more and use our time together to foster GROWTH and develop STRENGTH. As Bredren Surfmon already said, there is a Differential Beauty in being Different. We are NOT SEEING THE INDIVIDUAL TREES DUE TO BEING LOST IN THE FOREST that's all.
Nuff Love

OK I would like to add one more thing. @ Surfmon I InI give thanks for those compensatory thoughts, I agree with all that the I has said, but the quote below stuck with I the most! It is with the Utmost Love I and I say that we must look to the truth that reveals itself to we each at these different points on our trod. Without holding another in Judgment, for this is not our Job. Our Job is to learn from each other and take it outside to make a difference.
