A lot of people ask whats the  rasta belief on any number of topics, then the same people accept thease beliefs blindly with out fully understanding why they believe it , personally i believe this is the wrong way too go about things, and id suggest too any one wanting to gain a understanding or become part of the rasta movement to research the major issues relating too the movement, and then make up your own mind on each particular topic, then reason with rasta bredren too take your understanding too a higher heights, too me thats what differs rasta from the major religions rasta doesnt bind or blindly force beliefs or dogma, Rasta deals with spiritual growth and higher thinking

I&I know what TheI means, but I&I don't characterize the "major religions" as blind zombies.
An old Jewish saying about what you just said:
"In a room with 10 jews, there is 10 judaisms," and yes, with rasta, is is the same:
"In a room with 10 ras, there is 10 RasTafari's" - it is about sights and opinion on spiritual subjects.
Well, I&I use to say that the most leftwinged people believe in God, just as the most rightwinged. Seen? BUSH BELIEVES IN JAH!    He just have another point of view, another sight and Iditation on Him.

We must always remember not to glorify ourselves, rastas, better or higher than other - because that is badder and lower!

Raspect & Upfullnes, Idren!

Greetings Idrens

Blessed response Ras Adam, but i think the I may have mis overstood what i was saying, just saying we shouldnt be so eager to swap one sort of shackle for another whether it be spiritual, mental, or physical

only major religion i can speak on through experiance is christianity , when ever the I has been in a room with 10 or more christians , ive been told THIS IS the gospel believe it or face eternal punishment anuff too scare a child into believing ehh ??

Blessed love

Exactly. We interpret the scriptures truest to how we see them, meditate on it and grow wiser. Give thanks.

Like the I said about scaring people into faith, thats why I dont believe in churches.. It just seems people are scared of Jah instead of loving him, as if H.I.M cares if we go to a certain building wearing certain clothes on a certain day as opposed to spreading goodness and fighting oppression.

Well, Iman also see some rasta, trying to mission through fear, so as Iman say - we are not that special.
If one believes in the Holy Scriptures, which is the guide, then it says that to be righteous, we should fear The Holy Israel God Adonai JAH. So i'm not afraid of that fear.
About the clothing and all that, well, if one have faith in the almighty jewish, Iriginal, everlasting, everloving Israel God - JAH - then we also know that He is a personal God. He doesn't "don't care" about how we do this and that. Read the torah, the basis, the Books of Moses, with the laws. Fx. we should not wear animal-clothing (fx. wool) at the same time as a cloth made of something from the plant world. (such as hemp, cotton) - therefore, if one believes in the torah, the Bible, as Emperor Selassie I say, it actually DOES matter, which clothes we wear. Fx. a woman should not wear a mans clothing, and a man should not wear womens clothing.
And Yes, it is a matter of faith, but Selassie I said that we should read the Bible.

About the churches, well, you know I'm not christian, but besides that, I hate churches. I think that the historical Jesus, the rabbi, would have hated them - because they were "built on top of thousands of peoples blood" and they are enormous, when tourist enter, them don't think "Oh, a big place to praise God" - they think "What a beautiful building, it must have been a big job to build it".
The synagoges, I go to, a just a building, a meeting house to praise the almighty God of Israel, not a big, dark building for humans.
Just I sight.

Greetings in The Name of the Most High Jah RasTafari,
Loving the Vibes and levels of reasoning Give thanks, Richie Spice Song Earth Alert a very good example"....Earth alert.. from you see the womban start wear pants and stop wear skirt....things gone to the dirt ...from you see the man start wear blouse and stop wear shirt...
signs of the time....open your eyes.."Just a sample of the lyrics but a powerful song...Deuteronomy 22v5 also states that Man & Womban should not wear clothes that pertain to the other gender.
The peoples ARE the church " Where two or three are gathered in My Name I AM there in the midsts of them"
Give thanks
love and Raspect
