Greetings Breddas & Sistahs.
I work on a night shift at the moment from 930pm until 7am. This obviously means I sleep during the day. I usually get into bed at about 10am and get out of bed at 5pm and at the moment it is dark outside when I wake up. As a result of this I only get to witness 3 hours of sunlight a day as it is also dark until about 630/7am. I have recently become consciously aware of myself missing the sun as I find myself cherishing wat little time I spend outside in the daylight. I was wondering if this limited amount of sun I get to appreciate is good for I as I read somewhere recently that when we dont get as many uv rays from the sun shining in our eyes in the winter months, some can start to feel depressed. I dont feel depressed, I live positive vibrations and find it hard to feel down but I do miss the sun!! Is this lack of sunshine good for I?
Thank you for reading, please reply.
Blessings.
Peace.

Bless Up Idren

InI don't know how it is for most but InI live in Canada and it gets very Grey and Gloomy for months on end during deep winter.  A few years ago InI noticed that for months InI was getting no sunshine.  Just cloud and cold.  Every year InI feel more and more uneasy and restless during these months until this winter InI just cannot live in it.  InI feel like the life is being sucked out of InI's physical body and Mind as well.

InI am taking two years in the Caribbean on top of a private hilltop, in a stone cottage smack in the middle of a flower garden with thousands of flowers in bloom while InI's fingers are frozen writing this. And did InI mention the Panasonic ocean view and hearing the waves from one's bedroom.  InI am giving up a lot of conveniences like regular internet hookup and such, but InI get to play in the sun everyday. For InI that daily contact with the sun's strengthening heat is Important.

Nuff Love

Bless Up Empress/Idren

The point InI was making is that to InI the sun is an energy which energizes InI.  Up at 5am and in the garden for an hour..Sit and marvel at the beauty in the garden while drinking a coffee and taking a smoke break is worth giving up Blockbusters and Immediate access to Cd's and videos.  So InI won't be able to call a taxi on the phone or run to Shoppers Drug Mart whenever InI get sick physically..But InI can bathe in the ocean whenever InI wish.. Can drink a freshly picked coconut every morning picked specifically for InI to drink and eat it's jelly for breakfast.  Tai Chi overlooking the ocean and freshly picked guavas for juice is worth not being able to get a quick pair of shoes whenever InI make a new outfit.

So at some point in our lives we just have to Know our bodies response to this Creation of Jah, as it Must serve an Important function to be the Centre of the World.  In InI's case InI get grumpy, want to be alone..Can't sleep through the night and have been given sleeping pills for InI's own 'good' as InI just can't sleep when outside is too cold.  InI like WHO InI am when InI am NOT grumpy and sad.  InI like the freedom to play guitar everyday, all day, learning a new song every two days.  InI don't miss the cable and internet when InI am away.  InI can funtion better, hence be a better asset to JahJah's work.

How could InI Live, Love and Learn if half the ear InI am bloody cold and can't think when InI's brain is frozen.  To each his own InI suppose.  Comes down to each man's choice in the end.  What is worth it, Quality or Quantity..?

Nuff Love

Bless up, Sistahvee!  How wonderful for you to be able to spend 2 years in the carribean!  We are in northern Illinois in the US and have to deal with such long periods of no sunshine.   For us is a very trying period and we keep on our eyes on Jah to get us through.   Someday we hope to live in Jamaica with its beauty and sunshine full time!  Blessings to everyone dealing with these winter months of no sunshine.   Keep looking to Jah and scriptures to keep uplifting yourselves.   Praises be to Jah!
