Blessed Love Sis,
we are also celebrating Ethiopian Krasta Mas for the first time this year.. i have always bowed to pressure from my family, but after struggling with it so much last year, and the feeling in my tummy that i was doing Jah a disservice, i put my foot down, and decided to put a stop to the debacle that is Christmas in the UK...at least in my own home. this year was bliss.. no running around, no getting bad tempered in the so called "season of good will" trying to buy too much, in too crowed a store, for too short a day to warrant all that effort and stress, no buying copious amounts of unnecessary foodstuffs, only to throw it away half eaten a day later.. I've never seen the sense in making yourself ill in Jesus' name. i just sat back and had a quiet giggle after having freed myself from all that madness.. then , when it's all died down , i can go about the business of thanking my Father for his blessed Son with a bit more dignity.
we will be traveling to Sistah Molliebaz for midnight Mas at the Ethiopian orthodox church in London, then home again for a quiet dinner and exchange of SIMPLE gifts..i don't believe in buying expensive gadgets for my children, it teaches them greed and devalues money and the need to see it earned, in my opinion.
have a lovely celebration, all of you who are celebrating the birth of Yeshua on Jan 7th....
