As a newbie I'd like to ask if this text below accurate of the rasta movement?

What can be said about Rastafari that would be true for all Rastas?

Some Rastas interpret the Bible literally.
Some interpret the Bible metaphorically.
Some reject the Bible altogether.
Some study various spiritual and religious traditions.
Others think this is blasphemy.
Some Rastas worship Haile Selassie as JAH, as God.
Some worship Jesus Christ, or see these two as having a single identity.
Some worship neither.
Some Rastas embrace Selassie's Christianity
Others are not so comfortable.
Some Rastas see the roots of Rasta in African spirituality.
Some know nothing about African spirituality.
Some Rastas are Garveyites.
Some are pan-African activists.
Some Rastas are other sorts of political activists.
Some say activism is a waste of time in Babylon.
Some Rastas believe in a Rasta priesthood and Rasta churches.
Some do not.
Some Rastas believe in physical repatriation to Ethiopia, seeing it as Zion as described in the Bible.
Some do not.
Some Rastas view ganja as a sacrament.
Some do not.
Some Rastas wear dreadlocks.
Some do not.
Some Rastas adhere to a strict dress-code.
Some do not.
Some Rastas belong to specific orders, like Bobo Ashanti, Nyabinghi, Twelve Tribes of Israel.
Some do not.
Some Rastas reject the idea of whites claiming Rasta.
Some do not.
Some Rastas believe women are lesser beings and have special rules for their behavior and participation.
Some do not.

Bless,

It used to be common knowledge that all Rasta hold His Imperial Majesty as "god". But then there was an infiltration by people claiming to rep the Twelve Tribes of Israel, saying otherwise. And that cause a whole heap of confusion about people calling themselves Rasta but denying the divinity of the king. The thing is iyah, if you really know and hold Selassie I as your 'god' then there is going to be alot of 'irits' that come along with that 'wisemind' that make EVERY Rasta virtually the SAME Rasta. So it dont really matter the details because we stand on the same foundation and that it that HIM Selassie I is JAH. So I dont sweat the small stuff cause I know that If ones really rep the king, stuff about race and all that gon work itself out. See this ting, the truth of all this ting real small, no center, secret really. I give some correction from my end though Starting from the top-

Some rasta interpret the Ible metaphorically and literally, Sight that one!
I dont think any rasta sight studying 'other' trodition is blasphemy, just how we hold them.
Rastas who worship Jesus Christ see that him as Haile Selassie.

Couldn't do it all but there's a few. Let me say this though,  I read through your list and this apply's to many and may help with them all if your CONfused, *****To some extent the degree to which people for example "dont worship JAH" is the degree to which they are not really Rasta. Imember small ting.

Greetings

So am I right in assuming that in your personal opinion, this is a watered down version of what the Rasta movement was meant to be in the begining?

You know I don't even recognize 'it' as "Rasta" to begin with. All that flaky "oneloveism" Racist Black militancy, and G-dless Hippy "JAH is everything" slackness. Not get down of One Love but Rasta an Imperial Order. You mean this website? Don't even get me started on this place. That list? Some of what the list says is accurate not all like 'rootsridge' would tell you, alot of it is true but only overstood in a different philosophical light and looks different than on paper.

So would you say that your view of Rasta is the way that Rasta was originaly supposed to be, I read that the Rasta movement was originally a black power movement started up among the poor that sae H.I.M as the human form of God/Jah.

Rastafari cyaant change. Rastafari always goin to be Rastafari. And this gets back to what i was saying about partial revelation, cause Yes Rastafari is a "black lideration trod" but not just that, Rastafari SOOOO much more. We talking about all forms of government and authority, ALL money, all everything, New world order, This aint no Jamaican thing and I'm not trying to be rude, but Rastafari from Ethiopia, Ethiopia da Cornerstone of ALL man. Rastafari is the G-d and creator of mankind, So when him come back and sit pon him seat, you cyaat brush dat under rug but dem still trying, soon come soon come!!!

Here comes the "flaky Hippy" Jah is everything.....
I'll neva deny Jah RastafarI as HIMSelf, but where do Yah separate HIM or can Yah confine HIM?Huh??
To confine HIM or limit HIM or separate HIM from Iself is Blasphemy in I I's
To deny His children is doing HIM a diservice
Who am I to say I have the right to discredit anothers faith?Huh?Huh?
needless to say I Know He has already forgiven any and all transgressions as there is no limit to HIS patience and compassion and overstanding of I and I difficulties in the Human form...
especially as He has walked among us and continues to walk among us in various forms and has felt all the pain and alienation of being Human, so my Job as His servant is to try ease that pain and give I family solace, hope, upliftment and nurture dem...I AM after all the Divine Mother Incarnate, but don't try to separate me from every other Mother....unless yah feel to
Who feels it knows It
Freewill a Ivine Godgiven gift
I never will deny I brother the right to self raspect unless dem feel it and need the knowledge of it...
For I will always Raspect ALL I brothers and Sistahs...regardless of whether they see as I do or not
I will love yah no matter what...as I Fadda's daughter
Blessings and may JahJahs Grace Itinue to rain upon each and everyOne
