There will be a limited number of themes initially (I will make the time to add more)... and I am not certain how all the other features will work once a member changes a theme but I will beta test first before implementing anything and will troubleshoot any problems that may arise.

The Mayan culture is quite interesting. Although, as usual, I do not get much time to study.
Having themes, or skins for the forum could be interesting too .. although I suspect that if only 2 people vote I will not bother lol ;-)

At present paypal is the only way to donate. I do intend to look into other methods but I time is limited.

I love the colors, but some people don't.
Don't break the bank doing it, but some people would probably do better with a soothing violet-blue or maybe green. (hehe)

Thank You Nya, for your continuing, positive, contributions towards this web site. thanks for the thanks bredren!!!! my kids pay out on me for my reasoning on Nicks addiction its true I do spend way to much time here still, I do enjoy it so!!! this [place is my escape from the world of childcare and domestics, and i feel a bit naughty about it but at present it is a compulsion that brightens I day and keeps I from seeking therapy... I like the idea of a lightish-darkish green.... have yah checked out our colour scheme? byeeee gotta go luv yah!!!!! |

Ok I have had a serious look at adding themes ....It is possible (i knew that before) but it is going to be tricky. As I am sure you are aware there are many modifications to the core code of the forum. 48 different ones to be precise. If I install a new theme none of the modifications will work so I will need to install them manually into the new theme. Bottom line is each new theme will take several hours to install and test. I am not sure exactly how many hours per theme at present but I would guess (with testing) each theme would be a days work. The forum would have to be offline for a short period when the testing phase started.
I may well install one theme to see exactly how long the process is going to take but since there were only 12 votes in total I am wondering whether I should proceed or not since it appears most of the members don't really care whether I do this or not.

Apologies are hardly needed from you brother,it doesn't seem that many people are too bothered one way or the other about themes,and if it brings you unnecessary aggro why bring more work on yerself? As the old saying goes if its not broken dont fix it! Then,I am only one opinion,give it another while to see what others think,maybe people have not noticed this post yet..
