What is the future of reggae music ?
Will there continue to be a pop culture American influence?
Is cross over the best way to go?
Can another superstar arise who performs mainly traditional reggae?
Is the music business all about sex appeal ?

What is the future of dub ?
The way music is being mixed today will dub be radio friendly?
There seems to arose so many different interpretation of reggae.
Create anything and give it a strum.  Seems that many are offended by this.
Jamaicans love reggae.  Often it seems the road to stardom has to pass through Jamaica.
So if they hate you. . . Good luck!!
There is new sounds and creativity emerging though.  I guess we should all relax it is just music.

It's really about finding yourself Brother
If music is your bag play it!!!!
as you get good, people will like you
love you hate you, at least they are noticing
and not being noticed can be good too
gives one space to "find yourself"
to I, reggae is, and always will be "the KINGS music"
it is rebelutioNeri
it is peoples newspaper
it shares uplifting, informative Consciousness
it is liberation
it gives and comes from heart

yah cannot fake it
as for popularity
promotion is a huge part
Reggae that is Rastafari, has its own grassroots movement
we tend not to go with mainstream music "industry"
coz to us, music is sacred
it is a truer language than this one
and we tend to utalize it to forward consciousness and liberation and LIFE
living what we sing about is an important thing
to just sing conscious and not live consciousness is the kind of hypocracy that Yesus spoke of.......

so although reggae is perhaps becoming more "mainstream"
the truest Rastafari reggae artist does not seek that
they seek to do His Will
by the blessings and guidance of HIM
and I am certainly not implying that I (or any reggae artist) am worthy of a Pedestal, or that reggae artists are anything more than completely human and fallible, and we are all works in progress
but reggae is not about "seeking superstardom"
"seek ye first the Kingdom of heaven and all things shall be added"
