Re: Do Rasta's Celebrate christmas, and easter??

A which Rasta dat who a celebrate christmas and easter?

Fire Bun dat concept.

Simple answer to your question is a resoundingNO Rasta should not be doing that. Neither should any right-thinking conscious person for that matter.

nobody really celebrates Christ at christmas anymore tho
its mainly about the presents for all people same with
easter you dont go pray do you? you eat your chocolate
and your happy.
so i would say yes it is fine to celebrate christmas in the way of a
family tradition rather than a religous tradition.
Im full Rasta and have been
for quite a while now, and i still sit down at christmas with
family members and share the love of christmas the once a
year where everybody is happy in someway.

So if you are RAS dont look at it as a religous study, look at it as a
family time a time of being peaceful and uniting with people
around the world to bring happiness to each other.

The original Question was " Do Rasta's Celebrate christmas, and easter??" To which I gave my response.
You then make the above statement to which my response is ; If you are a Christian (or profess to be) then of course you should Roll Eyes.
However in answer to your question as; why not Knowledge. Then allow me to reply as follows;
First of all; as Redge rightly states: "Nobody really celebrates Christmas anymore tho" Which is indeed a true sound. The majority of people use Xmas and Easter as an excuse to immerse themselves in materialism and revelry and gorge themselves (in the main) on Turkey, Chocolate and Alcohol.

But to answer your question as to why not? Given that Jesus wasn't born on the 25th December and as he wasn't crucified at Easter, I think is reason enough not to celebrate.

If you believe in Yahushuah- Jesus' GIVEN NON-PAGANIZED name you- will NOT celebrate either "holiday."

CHRISTmas is named for CHRIST Mithra.
It was a well-established "holiday" LONG before Yahushuah was born.

Easter is a PAGAN "holiday" LONG celebrated by KILLING BABIES.

Easter=Ashterah=Aphrodite=Isis.

READ YOUR PROPHETS.

Jeremiah 7:18 specifically admonishes those who bake cakes (hot "cross" buns- the cross is the sign of Tammuz) for the queen of heaven, ie, "Easter", Ashterah.

So in-as-much as Rastas are Freemasons willingly hijacked from true faith, yes, celebrate "Christ"mas and Easter.

In-as-much as Rastas are believers in Yah the creator of the universe, celebrate these pagan abominations at your own peril.

WHY OH WHY I wonder do so many churches use RED eggs at Easter?

Because eggs were died red in the BLOOD OF SACRIFICED INFANTS in the spring festivals.

BLESS UP.

WHY OH WHY I wonder do so many winter solstice/Christmas trees have baby angels called cherubim when any bible reader knows a cherub is a many headed many winged chimera?

Because the baby angels on Christmas trees are VOTIVES for the souls of the babies sacrificed at Easter.

BLESS UP.

Anyone reading this can no longer claim ignorance.

Bless up,
Natty.

"When Jesus Christ was born from Virgin Mary, from that time on He lived an exemplary life, a life which men everywhere must emulate. This Life and the Faith that He taught us assures us of salvation, assures us also of harmony and a good life upon Earth. Because of the exemplary character of the life of Jesus Christ it is necessary that all men do their maximum in their human efforts to see to it that they approximate as much as they can the good example that has been set by Him.
"It is quite true that there is no perfection in humanity. From time to time we make mistakes, we do commit sins but even as we do that, deep in our hearts as Christians we know we have forgiveness from the Almighty. He taught us that all who seek Him shall find Him. To live in this healthy life, a Christian life, is what makes me follow Jesus Christ.
"For Christian people no day is as glorious and as joyous as the day on which they commemorate the Nativity of Our Saviour Jesus Christ. On this day each one of us tries to forget his worries and his anxieties and endeavours to alleviate those of his loved ones and friends, and to forgive those who have wronged him, so as only to meditate on the life of Him who is Supreme Lord of All.
"From Our early childhood We are struck by the sentiments of unfathomable mystery, simple and yet sublime, which stirs up in us the evocation of the Birth of the Divine Child.
"The Mystery of Bethlehem reveals itself in our spirits, more fascinating the more we advance on the path of life, and the more we realise the magnitude of the mission each one of us has to accomplish in this world, be it humble or noble, arduous or thankless.
"An unheard of event, expected for more than forty centuries has at last been accomplished: the Son of God is born, He has only a stable for His palace and a manger for a cradle. The hearts of the wise are thrilled by this majestic humility, and the kings of the Earth bend their knees before Him and worship Him.
" 'Peace on Earth, goodwill to men,' - this was His first message. In the same manner when He went to the summit of Calvary, there to expiate our sins with the supreme sacrifice, He gave up His last breath invoking forgiveness for His very tormentors: 'Father forgive them, for they know not what they do.'
"In pondering over the life, the goodness, humanity and sacrifice of the Saviour of the World, in looking at the laws which He gave us, how much should we be ashamed to call ourselves Christian people, and yet not to follow His footsteps. Had we been Christian people, had we been worthy of the name, peace would have reigned on all the face of the Earth, and we would have risen to the level of the immortal angels who always glorify the Eternal God, and the peoples of the world would no longer have remained divided into hostile camps.
"In very truth there are no interest or reasons, however legitimate they may be, that can justify war."

Yes, what friend NyaInIJahLove said was all absolutely true and well informed.

Yet I an I celebrate X-mas as a time of love and family togetherness. It is a tradition long practiced in my country and a positive thing. Rastafari is a positive thing. It goes without saying I suppose
