I have recently noticed several Rastafarian's sporting what I interpret as the "Star of David. " What is the symbol and how is it associated to the Rastafari movement?

it was the shield of David i think it symbols the birth of Jesus to
Selassie used to do the start of David with hes hands so rastas do it to
and Selassie be a descended of David
