The only view Iman has on this is that the Christian Trinity , which was only accepted and proposed at the council of Nicea, is to deify Jesus as Christ and solidify his God on Earth status. What it does is remove a VERY important part of God withIn us, which is the female, and as so often found in the Ible, has placed women in a submissive role. This is NOT Natural, and therefore not whole to the truth of the story. Father, Son, Holy Ghost. ~ there is no balance here. Ausar ~ Auset ~ Heru ~ Egyptian Trinity has much more balance. ( Father,Mother, Child) and, highlights the significance of the product of of love which is a Divine gift. Children are to regarded as gifts form God and here to teach us in their innocents, not merely possession which many seem to think they are.
Google the Egyptian trinity to find the story, hope this helped.

Bredren, I am not sure of what is overstood, not much has been written on this by the bredren.
I only showed one aspect of what has been overstood by I as a man. Since coming to within 100 pages of the finish of the Ible, it has come more clear for Iman. What is shown in the New Testament is that the promise that was given to the Israelites had come fullfill in the Son of man. Although the female is subverted to a secondary role, if we are to look at Father~Son~ Holy Spirit, and detach from the physical roles we know and grow with, we get a different picture.
-We are spirits, living in the material world. -The promise that was given to the Israelites alone was transmuted to ALL nations with the coming of the Son. -WE are One in this spirit with the father if we live to be upfull people and subjects of His Majesty.
