  Greetings,
I man have always wondered with regard to the references to the Ible, Old or New Testament?, It is a progression.  From Israelite to Jews (split) to Christians.

How is it that if a Krst~ian See the light in the New Testament by way of Jesus, how then does it happen that the references go back to the Old testament? 

There is a new covenant made in the NT, and His Majesty Shine the light on this road, so how is it that some keep looking back to the OT?

any thoughts?

This is what I think-

I think it is a renewed covenant, not a new covenant.

The Old Testament speaks to Yahushua.
He is even named by Name in Zechariah 3.

And He is the Word of YHWH made flesh.

Who appears to the prophets throughout the Hebrew writings but the Word?

I don't see it as a progression as much as an establishment and falling away, renewal, and falling away, and renewal...

I hope that helps some?

  I like the way you worded it better, re~newed.  It is like the love of a parent who tries over and over with the children.
What I was mainly thinking when I asked was in reference to the usage of the OT by many.  I know it is an example of the relationship between God and the people.  Falling away indeed !

have many thoughts, but not mush time, so am Glad to hear from ya, look forward to some reasoning.

I have had it explained that the "New" Covenant is actually the REnewed covenant.

In the same way that the new moon is the same moon but starting fresh again, the "new" covenant is simply a freshening of the covenant already made.

Yah promised to send a prophet from among the brethren in, I think Numbers, and in Isaiah He talks about the man He will send.

Yahushua is that man.

Yah said- See? I sent the Man.
Now come back to Me.

That's why Yahushua said He had come to fulfill the Law.

That's what I think.

Here are some of the things I have been thinking of since finishing the the first pass and now extending it into the Apocrypha;

 The OT is a marvelous work that tells the story of a people from the view point of the Israelites, but the root of which may be seen from another perspective which would be ; Enki Summarian Tablet Translation.  

  After the destruction of the second temple in Jerusalem, there was mush that was destroyed.  Many who take up reading the Bible may do so fro to get to the end books of the New Testament.  The message of the NT is as Natty has mentioned RE~NEWED COVENANT.  This renewal comes in the form of the man.  Christians see it as Jesus, Rastafari see the same in Haile Selassie I.  What is the same is the Spirit behind the Symbol and the men.  (In a way, it is difficult to write men, due to so many years of having the Female take a secondary role at the hands of the men of History.  There are so many ways to see that the Balance and Rhythm of the Universe is the relationship between the two, so when I say HE, what we really mean is S/HE.)  Equal but opposite.  Adam and Lilith (not Eve)

  After reading the NT, it is strange to see the progression of Jesus as Teacher to GOD.  All done at the hands of Saul (Paul) who was on his way to persecute the Christians.  After the vision, he became a messenger of the Good News.  In his letters, he fashions his language to reach those to whom he is writing.  It is in this way, I came to see that the essence of the message is in those that bring it.  If it is Universally applicable, and Equal to all that it is applied to, then we are One in the Test.  The test being Livicated to the Most I and going with what comes and making the most of what we have been given.

Everywhere is Sha'ul.. the benjamite wolf?

We are hashing and rehashing on Aviv Moon Network.

Without blaming Sha'ul, there are 28,000 Greek NT scriptures and fragments and NO TWO MATCH.
To reside one's eternal soul on the basis of these writings is not prudent, in my opinion.

This is what I think- I think there is true religion and I think there is a lie.
I think the Hebrew scriptures reflect what I would call "true religion."
That is what I believe.
I am not saying no other religion is true.

I believe Lao Tsu was a true follower of YHWH.

I am just saying I believe the original Hebrew faith is the true religion.
Yes, much was learned from the Egyptians, but then again, Joseph (Imhotep) set up most of the Egyptian political and economic system, and was a priest.

Sure, you may be able to attach your spirit to an immortal entity and inhabit a succession of bodies...I dunno...
And so on through various permutations of "eternity."

But ultimately it comes down to a division...

I believe what is written in Genesis, literally, because that is what I arrived at after many years and my sanity relies on my NOT being an alien genetics experiment- which is how I view the Sumerian myths.





BUT it certainly is interesting, isn't it?

What is that (supposed) 200,000 year old gold mine in S Africa- Some say Homo erectus, some say Sapiens...

And the stories about how men were created to give the elohim a break in their work,

There are certainly a lot of them.

I choose not to believe them, but we can discuss.
Is that where you were going?

What about the flying machines in Egyptian art, in the Vedas(?), in Babylonian writing?
And the Aztec king taking off in the rocket?

I had dismissed this as a not-even-Danite lie, then read a children's rendition of the Mayan myth of the sky god and the feathered serpent creating humans, through a series of efforts.

I do not believe this, but it gave me pause.


There are a lot of unanswered archaeological questions, never mind scriptural ones.

I find the Hebrew scriptures to be consistent, reasonable, and generally proven through archaeology, history, and literature.

But throw in the alien mythologies and Egyptian flying machines, and I'm clueless.

Demonic deception- but prove it.

Give Thanks for the views Sistren, there is much that I agree with.

The majority of the NT resting on Sha'ul (nice, had to look that up) Is suspect to I as well because the transformative definition and deification of Christ Jesus.

I have come to the site, and look forward to learning from that perspective because it would be as I have always observed, to be able to look from the other side of something we have become used to. In the Question of Old testament ~ Torah~ Pentatuch, as compared to the New Testament , I am beginnin  to set the mind frame to the value of looking back, but do not give up the blending of time and word at the hands of man.  The Israelites did Us a great favor by preserving the written word, but the next step, ( which I anticipate to be a delicate dance of respect for views) could lead to a greater Overstanding for I.

Adding to this a Summerian text reasoning melding with Torah study is where I see intrest taking form.  Along with further study of His Majesties speeches.  I am not one to have ever held to the view we were created by an "alien" race, but seeing as things are never what they seem, and what we find is usually the opposite of what we seek, I am very eager for tommorrow.  Just must not loose sight of today.

The Hebrew calender is da correct one...dey go by da full moons which means dey go correctly  go by da Harvests = FEASTS dat the LORD wants we to follow...in which we do not....it is a shame...yet that is what GOD wants the sinners to feel SHAME/  just Like Atum when he KNEW he was naked ...he was ashamed !!!

 Feeling both of ya, with mind and heart.  Been a long time and have traveled long, still here we are.

I have had a look at many a book and yet what I know, is so easy to show.
  In each place we see it is easy to read the face and the people look.
    As time goes by, although we may try, the destiny is a cosmic approach.
      everywhere we go ones fuss and them fight, wrong and write, while the children always watch,
         They are the ones who complete us.  It is in their going forth into the world and navigating daily life that we can see how we are doing.

   I spent some time at Aviv moon net work, looking for HOW other interact, what their perception is, after beinig on Rasta networks for some years now.  It should come as no surprise, they act very much the same way any other forum does.  The topic is what go round and round on, only when we conflict about the written word, we are missing the point.   It is plain to see the we are so much more than just flesh and bone.  Rastafari KNOW this to be True, and it is witIn this language I see more Light than the narrowness of singularity, for we are a sum of our parts ! .

  So, in a Testa~ment (head)story, the message is IN_BETWEEN AND AROUND the words.  We must take the mixture and see what is the over~ALL picture.  If there is not a message of Oneness and Love, we are not seeing the picture, NO MATTER what book we are reading.  If we look closely, we can see the pride of one over another, I call that fiction.  Fiction is a make believe story from only one perspective.  It may be artfully decorated and elaborate, but if the message is not for all to play with, then the writer is just playing with them SELF.

   This is telling me brother that as I as a man study more and more if I as a man am studying correctly I will at times need to change my mind on one opinion or more.  That is what the Bible says.....we as mere men  cannot fathom what GOD  can do or why  HE does it  ....all we as men have is some written words of GOD....keep living life my bredren.

His Imperial Majesty is saying to all of us that the old test.  and new test.   are just as important  ....the part about slicing it up....hits you right in da face.....when Jesus ( Isa) gave His Life He was telling all in the land that no more do we need to keep the blood sacrifices of the old test.  because Jesus  is the slain Lamb .......He is the last one to be shedding the blood for GOD  His Father....which Jesus was GOD  so this is what I speak of when I as a man say we can not fathom this .

Many Humble Thanks Bredren for bringing forth your views and words.  Imon have reflected some days now on them.
I see great value in the both parts, along with other works that we may live by.
RENEWAL, as Sistren Nattythreads put it.
Now, when we look to what lights a persons way, and the example they live by, It is not helpful nor is it Loveful to tear them down.  I have seen this in some I's views and choose not to tear down but ask questions and find the common thread.  For what imon see is a similar path to the same destination. 
what I know is that we have two ears and one mouth, and so we should listen twice as much as we talk.
