I am a new Rasta, and I'm not sure what the diet is.  I'm aware of the no pork/shellfish rule, but is there anything else? And why shellfish, out of curiosity. . .

Thank you

Hi there

Yes, research ital diet (comes from the word vital)
Can eat:
goat
turkey
all fish (as long as they have scales)
cow
sheep
duck
chicken

can't eat:
rabbit
pig
camel
octopus
Eel
Horse
Insects

Do not eat fish more than 12 inches long (i know that this conflicts with the one above but I'm not to sure)
Lots of veg ( as they are the earth and are therefor wrong)
Food prepared without salt
Most don't drink alcohol
No coffee
No milk
Do- herbal tea
Lots of fruit and fruit juice

To be honest i am not to sure why no shellfish as i am still researching to. But please research because i am quite happy to be prove wrong. Hope that you are well and hope that this info is correct and help full
Thanks

Possibly because they are bottom feeders (part of nature's waste and sewage treatment system).
