As for Bob Marley, it seems to I that the man was a very reluctant participant in the politrickal game in Jamaica.  Both JLP and PNP tried to use RastafarI to boost their votes and since Bob Marley was almost the figurehead of RastafarI at the time and hugely popular with the poor people, it is no surprise that the politricksters wanted to use the man for their own ends.  Still though, I and I can see that despite that, Bob was still standing for Righteousness.  When he brought together Micheal Manley and Edward Seaga on stage at the One Love concert, it was a kick in the teeth to babylonian attempts to politicise RastafarI.  Every Rasta artist who took to the stage there wasn't there for the politricksters who organised the event, they were there for the poor people who were suffering from the war between the JLP and PNP.  They were being the change they wanted to see, just as His Majesty was at Geneva.

Natty Threads why does Muslim make a difference to Christian?  Either way America is an imperialist capitalist country based on genocide and whoever leads it cannot make a damn difference to that, their personal morals and religion will change things but not this essential fact.

The great celebration of Obama is just fitting with the Western based idea of individualist progress.  It is not black progress, Obama being in the White House, as only he is there, not a significant number of people.  It is in fact white progress because they have finally accepted a 'black' man can be in the White House i.e. their racism is decreasing (although this is debatable, I would say it is simply taking a different form).
