I have taken da vow of da nazarite and as a man with thick, smooth, straight caucasian hair i started using bar soap that states "doesn't leave a filmy residue" and am wondering as my dreads start forming what phases my hair will go through, will i hair look like a bushy mess with i hair flying everywhere or more just so start looking wavy and then eventually dreads will form, i've come across natural dreads since back combing is against rasta and am just wondering if any rasta brothers or sistahs have seen this and know whether or not my hair will look grotesque or just wavy and unbrushed. thank you. either way i'm still growing the dreads, just wondering which to expect. Jah love.

The locks will form however they form. What must be done first though is to check the self and see if the I is ready. Once the vow is taken there is no going back and it is a painful process to have to grow into the locks.
Blessed love.

i have done much reflecting on da situation brother nazarite and i have made my final decision not to take the razor to my head, not to indulge on da fruit of da vines, and not to touch a corpse. i know in my heart ini am ready for da dedication. i just have a question, i know i can put no comb to i hair, but will da dreads still form if i use my hands to move my bangs out my eyes and flatten sticking up hairs? dis id pretty much my process for my dreads, i take a shower and wash i hair with bar soap and let it dry naturally or put a towel to my head and will move da hair out my face and from sticking up in da back, do you tink my dreads are on da way?

i think you have to wake up if your main concern is how to dry your hair after washing it

it's definitely not I greatest concern or even on the top 100 greatest concerns of I. i was just wondering if drying my hair with a towel would prevent i dreads from forming.
