I recently completed 2 weeks of research in Jamaica for my undergrad thesis, "We Black Build the Music": Rastafarian Perspectives on Participation of Whites in Reggae and Nyahbinghi Music.  I interviewed several Nyahbinghi Ancients, Bobo Priests, and other bredren and sistren regarding their opinions of people like me (a white man from the US) playing the music that was born from the black liberation struggle in Jamaica and throughout the African Diaspora.  Please take a moment to view the short documentary I produced as part of my thesis: http://www.psu.edu/dept/bw/honors/2011/04/oursongsofpatience.html

Give thanks, Nazarite!  I apprecilove the time you took to watch this.   There is a link where you can download the PDF on my online portfolio, hxxp: benjaminjbean. wordpress. com, or you can get to it from the site where you watched the video: just click on the "Thesis" tab, scroll down to my name, Benjamin Bean, and click on "thesis. "  Post here again if neither one works for you, and I'll try to figure out something else.   Just warning you, it's a very big PDF file (387 MB or something like that) because of all the pictures in it.   But in my opinion, you need to see photos of those who shared their words with InI.   They are co-authors with me in this thesis.

I just tried both of the links and each time it failed to open. The links lead I away from the page but the pdf. window stays blank. It is likely more a problem on I end.
