Greetings

In King Solomon's proverbs: (14v10)

Each heart knows its own bitterness, and no-one else can share its joy.

This seems open to interpretation.  Does anyone have a better translation or any ideas as to what this means?  The only overstanding I can currently hold is that in suffering and in joy you are essentially alone (no one else is feeling exactly what you feel).  But if anyone would like to elaborate it would be appreciated.

Jah bless

Sistren,
The mind and the body are the food and the shelter for our souls in this life.  Although we may share similar feelings and experiences there is no way to relate the souls joy or depth of struggle.
Alone...I dont think so.  We may feel it sometimes, but is it true?  Can we not see joy in the eyes of a happy person and share in this through a smile, passing it on ourselves.  Or, the shadow of sorrow creep into someones countenance marking a deeper infliction...and we reach out.
We get what we Give.
