Salt enables the body to retain fluids which are essential for regulating the blood pressure mechanism.....if an individual has a tendency towards high blood pressure then an excessive salt intake may, as Nazarite points out, contribute to health issues....by the same token however, an individual with a tendancy towards low blood pressure may experience severe illness as a result of a lower than nessesary intake of salt....
I don't believe that in all honesty there can really be any hard and fast rules applicable to everyone in such matters....I suggest a subjective interpretation of such Biblical rulings....take them with a pinch of salt

I've made a point lately of not knowingly buying any food from occupied Palestine (Isreal).
Nessesity has overruled desire in the form of Lactose intolerance leading me to cut out (much loved) milk products, which in this country is akin to positioning oneself next to a wind turbine whilst attempting to avoid the wind itself,

. Removal of Milk Products in combination with other factors led me to the unenthusiastic desicion to go back to meat after many years away from it. I noticed that the body was far more willing than the mind in this respect, but the situation remains uneasy Iternally. que sera, sera.
