----------------------------------
Wisdom teaches knowledge. This was taken from the Nyahbingi Theocracy website.

Many in the Rastafari movement have been confused about Isus Christos and the Bible. They have not only rejected the Bible and Isus Christ, I and I Saviour from such time, but also separated Christ from Emperor Haile Selassie I because European slave masters used the Bible in nefarious ways to colonize and enslave the world. Specifically, Europeans changed the image of Christ to resemble a European to perpetuate white supremacy globally and the Bible was used to pacify us while they stole our land and brutalized us into slave labor.

Looking in homes and churches around the world, we can still find the blond hair blue eyes white jesus fixed on the walls. This global deception would have not been unmasked without the coming of Emperor Haile Selassie I and to a lesser degree, the Honorable Marcus Garvey . It was Garvey who first told us to worship the Almighty through the spectacles of Ethiopia and to look for I and I Redeemer as a King from the East, thus preparing I and I minds for transformation.

Both Marcus Garvey and Emperor Haile Selassie I were devoted Christians, fully accepting the message of the Bible and the Saviour of human kind it spoke of. Haile Selassie I said, Christ lived an exemplary life which men everywhere should do their best to emulate. Furthermore, he uttered that the Bible contained the solutions to man's problems on earth and we cannot hope for salvation should we reject it. For my part, said His Majesty, "I glory in the Bible."

Even if one had not known this, rejecting the Bible and Christ, would mean rejecting the Divinity of His Majesty, who traces his lineage back to King Solomon and Queen of Sheba of the Bible. One would be rejecting the very book that proves Selassie I's Divinity as King of Kings, Lord of Lords, and Conquering Lion of Judah. One also rejects the Ethiopian Orthodox Church and nearly 2000 years of Ethiopia's Christian heritage which was not imposed by Europe. Not only that, but rejecting the Bible and Christ means rejecting the fact that the Ark of the Covenant is located in unconquered Ethiopia, not under the Temple Mount, a claim that no other nation on earth can refute.

The simple fact is that there is no separation between the Bible, Christ and His Majesty for Rasta. The Bible and the Christ are manifested in HIM. He is the only statesman in creation who promulgates the message of Christ and the Bible throughout creation. He has never failed to visit a church in any country he has set foot in. He alone has brought the church together for the first time since 451 A.D. when the churches split over the nature of Christ at the Council of Chalcedon. This is why He was given the title "Defender of the Faith," this is why so many called HIM the return Christ and why I and I refer to HIM as Christ in His Kingly Character.

The Bible is the constitution of the Rasta people and Haile Selassie I is the Founding Father. Both are the foundation laws and guide in this time to both live up with and trample down Babylon's illusions. If I and I do not hold steadfastly to it then what will we use to judge the heathen or how can we ever? Lean not on your own understanding neither establish your own righteousness. Live by the scriptures so that we may be judges in righteousness. This is I and I power on earth if we will just use it.

There is truth to some of what you are saying but you are also misleading in what you assert to be the truth.

For instance, you state that it was Garvey who told us to worship the almighty etc. That is not a true sound as well you know.
A more accurate interpretation of the quote attributed to Garvey is; "look towards Africa where a black King shall be crowned because the day of deliverance is at hand" Or words to that effect. Contrary to your assertion, He said nothing about Worship or Mind Transformation.
The Bible that Selassie I read, is not the same one that you are referring to,  i.e  Standard King James Bible. I would advise you to be careful when using quotes to back up a point. Especially when quoting H.I.M. Selassie I.

Incidentally I note within the next paragraph, you make a sweeping statement about rejection which does not stand up to scrutiny. The rejection of the Babylonian Book (Bible) is nothing to do with the Divinity of H.I.M.  The Bible doesn't proclaim his divinity, the issue of Divinity in respect of H.I.M Selassie I, stems from the Kebra Negast. Moving on, I feel that your interpretation of the "solutions to man's problems" quote, that you have attributed to Selassie I is rather misguided insofar as it could also be claimed that the intentioned meaning of his utterance could be more literal.

In respect of your reference to the E.O.C.  As you should be well aware, the origins of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church is based in part on the teachings of the Friumentius the captured Syrian, who went on to be appointed the first Archbishop of Addis Ababa after being granted the right to do so by the Archbishop of Alexandria. So I would urge you to check out the facts before making those types of sweeping assertions about the lack of European involvement.  As for the Ark of the Covenant? Well that's another story???

I would just point out the following in relation to the sweeping assertions you make in respect of H.I.M and the church.
History as according to the Kebra Negast, reveals that Selassie I, can (make a) claim of unbroken lineage going right back to David. However, it certainly does not show that lineage going back to the biblical Jesus. Even within the said bible, it shows that Jesus did not have any descendants.  Which would more than suggest that the UNBROKEN lineage of Selassie I, is not inclusive of the biblical (new testament) Jesus. Indeed based on the logic you have applied, it would make this to be an immutable fact.
I won't even bother to dignify (with a response) the explanation you have given regarding the Defender of the Faith and (in the rest of the paragraph) about the church.

As for your final paragraph, it just goes to show how far you are wrapped up within the System. Contrary to your assertion, I would like to state a different view point. The bible is not the constitution for any conscious person. How can it be?  I would advise you to look at H.I.M. Selassie I through your own consciousness, and not try to validate him via the bible and the Sumerian/Babylonian programming that is so ingrained within.

One thing you seem to ignore  is that Yeshua, Selassie I, and the others who went before, all had one thing in common, and that is their purpose.  Insofar as they were all living sign-posts, pointing humanity in the direction of the greater experience beyond this material reality. They are not ends in themselves per se. Rather it could be said they were the living examples of the ONE LOVE consciousness that can be attained within this dimension. That is the real power, our own consciousness, not some old book of control whose primary purpose is to breed hatred and destruction, as is plainly evidenced by the countless wars that have, and continue to rage over it's very meaning.

Idren

I almost totally agree with Knowledge.

In particular I find the last paragraph troubling.  Try to keep all the laws of the Bible re: clothes, slaves, polygamy etc. I do not find the argument of truths being revealed over time, which I remember you hold Nazarite, can run concurrently to the assertion that morality should be guided by the Bible alone.

What you have posted makes RasTafarI look like a religion.  Anything that you can personally find in the Iritual connection is supreme to anything written by any human.  Of course these two can overlap but one must trust the self and not subscribe to anything they don't fully overstand or be motivated to do.  The truth is self evident and all Iritual reading should only be a Ifirmation of what is already known to aid a greater overstanding (which may be from another point of view but the same thing).

If one is on the Iritual trod you do not need an external (and outdated) moral system.  The truth is self-evident.  Indeed nearly all faiths are based on one or more of the Holy Truths or Ideas, just manifest in different ways depending on the culture.  In I sight, RasTafarI is the culture I choose for I Iritual trod.  InI just steer away from too many man-made beliefs.  But it really is the same across anything, the core (NOTE: CORE) of Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Jainism, Taoism, Bahai, are all pure and can all be used to connect with the divine.  One is no better than the other and to fall into that trap would just be a Babylon mentality. They are all (at their core, at their best) infintely better than Babylon and are used to replace Babylon culture.  One associates Christianity with Babylon but the central messages could not be more opposite to the culture of Babylon.

And for my part, 'judging the heathen' is not the primary role of keeping a good Livity.

Re IM123

You state that Haillie Selassie was a follower of the bible. and isn't he the highest authority in Rastafari?

I would just like to say that the Bible H.I.M. a read is not he same as the King James, He read the Kebra Negast as he was Ethiopian Orthodox. However stepping up, I have to say that to cite the fact that H.I.M. read a bible is somewhat bordering on ridiculous, Why would Earth's Rightful ruler need to read a book that was written by men in order to discharge his higher function?

You never once hear Selassie I claim that he was a god, and that was not his function, rather his function and some would argue his purpose was to facilitate the freeing of the enslaved mind via the grass root of society.

The issue here, is that too many Rasta are falling into the Babylonian trap and trying to attribute God to equate Human values, Which is wrong as all they are doing is making a god in their own image. Too many Ites are confusing the processes with the function, and then again they are many who confuse confuse the function with the purpose.  The I-AM is infinite, but at the same time;
The I AM is evolving towards the the endlessness of Infinity;

The I-AM in the process of Creation is Supreme
The I-AM within Consciousness is Ultimate, and
The I-AM of Infinity is Absolute

Too many people are putting their faith into a book, without ever trying to really Free their minds.
They say change is the only constant, and that is true, But even so the ever changing dynamics of Universal creation are nonetheless
governed by changeless laws, Processes that within themselves are immutable,  but yet they still combine to evolve the Universal Function of Creation towards it's Infinite Purpose.

So when they refer to the bible as the be all and end all, One's have to realise that Babylon release the chains but still a use them brains. Because all said and done the bible to which some have devoted themselves is a but a Babylonian coded invention after all.
