Greetings,

I am looking for someone to help me transition into becoming Rastafarian.  I need someone to help me study and perfect literally everything rasta: background, beliefs, etc.  I have had some serious talks with God and believe that this is the path he would like me to follow.

A little about myself: I'm 17 and from the United States.  I have grown up listening to reggae music and I have been trying to fully grasp the meaning of peace and love spread by it and rastafari in general.

I am white, but as I've read here: the color of your skin has nothing to do with rastafarianism.  Was it not H. I. M.  who said "Until the philosophy which holds one race superior and another inferior is finally and permanently discredited and abandoned, everywhere is war and until there are no longer first-class and second-class citizens of any nation, until the color of a man's skin is of no more significance than the color of his eyes.  And until the basic human rights are equally guaranteed to all without regard to race, there is war. " ?

I know it may be clear to you the path of Haile Selassie I, but since I am from an area with almost no rasta and since most modern society (Babylon, I think you call it?) scoffs at rasta, guidance would be of tremendous help.

What kind of guidance do you search for because theI can find alot of information on H.I.M (His Imperial Majesty) on the internet and this forum.

As for reading, The King Jame Version of the Bible is what I read and the Kebra nagast.
Also does theI smoke the Spiritual Herb as it helps One to find oneself.

Keep strong as the path is hard, Alot of mental battles comes ones way but alot are evil thoughts from babylon pushed in the mind to keep one astray.  For example The Matrix, Why do you think babylon made that film ? to keep ones mind in limbo.

When IanI say     RastafarI is a way of life well that is beacuase IanI have to LIVE Rasta to be Rasta seen ?
Once IanI live in Rightenous and Harmony With Love, Peace and respect and lives for Jah, then IanI can call I Rasta.
There is also alot of Knowlage and Wisdom to be gained on the way.
Knowlage is given, and Wisdom is given out

The diet is very important. Reading the bible is a good idea, but I havn't done much of it myself. I look forward to reading it when I purchase one.

I find you can learn a lot of good lessons from hinduism which also work for the rastafari path.

No one can tell you how to live, or do it, except for HIM who is THE ALL...
