I have loosely paraphrased Psalm 17 into rhyme.  It is quite inelegant what I have done but I like to chant a psalm in rhyme and thought I'd share it for anyone likes the same as I!

JAH hear me beg for fairness Jah listen to my cry
Pay attention to my prayer because I speak no lie
Your eyes see truth so you will judge I am right
You have examined my heart; tested me all night
You questioned me I have not strayed
My mouth is clean I have not failed
Your commands have been obeyed
I call you Jah and am never dismayed
Jah your love and glory is like the sweetest melody
Your power saves those who trust you from their enemies
Let the shadow of your wings be my saviour
Keep me from the wicked attacks of the haters
You see the boastful selfish ones who surround
Chase me and plan to throw me to the ground
Like lions they sit in hiding waiting to murder
But JAH, rise up against them before they can go further
Jah sword save me from their wicked and dirty lives
and those with riches and power in this time
I will see Jah face because I live right
I wake up, see Your likeness and am satisfied.
