It is always good to eat a bit of raw food, but cutting out cooked food completely is a mistake in I opinion.

In I and I stomachs, the food is heated by the kidneys and  broken down by acid and enzymes. The purpose of cooking food is to make it easier for the body to absorb nutrients by speeding up the process. As well, it helps bring up the temperature in the stomach, which is essential in maintaining a healthy digestive system since the stomachs optimum temperature for digesting food is around 100 degrees centigrade. Personally I'm not convinced that cooking food destroys nutrients provided the food is not over-cooked, but even if it did I would think that the cooking would compensate by making the nutrients easier for the body  to absorb. Raw food has it's place of course. It provides ruffage for the digestive system and the body is perfectly capable of processing it, but I would think that a pure raw food diet would use a lot more energy to digest. In winter especially I would never consider eating just raw food, because cooked food is so essential in maintaining a healthy temperature in the stomach. Without it, the bodys core temperature would drop and the stomach wouldn't be able to maintain it's 100 degrees boiling process and so digestion and energy extraction from food would drop, making the I feel run down and tired.

Blessed love

cooking should not be confused with proper heating of food. eating things at 100 degrees kelvin is not advised. be careful and always confer with your doctor if in doubt. food is a serious issue that effects us all widely disregarded because of ignorance and laziness to change old habits.

I wasn't suggesting eating anything at 100 degrees. That would just burn the mouth and throat. It is once the food is in the stomach that the higher temperature is needed. That heat is produced by the I's kidneys to aid digestion, but a hot meal will help keep that heat up.
