With the bredren at the start, when he speaks of black supremacy do you think he means power to the impoverished blacks or that blacks should reign supreme over all?

There is no mention of black supremacy in the beginning of that video. Maybe you think about the one posted in the other thread? One thing is clear. I don't accept any other head but Rastafari. HIM is not God because he is black. He is God because He is who He is.

Its nothing about "blacks claiming authority over ever other colour people"
Nyabingi is DEATH to downpression, how can black people be claiming DEATH to downpression and then in the same breath be wanting to be the downpressor himself?
no no no, the idea the I is having about the words "Black supremacy or Ipremacy as some like to say is NOTHING like the Icept of "white supremacy"
it is like the complete opposite
where white culture seeks to learn from science and observing, dissecting, analyzing and hypothesizing
Black seeks to know life from within, communicating, meditating, becoming ONE with the person, creature or thing he wishes to gain overstanding from or with
Black culture does not separate Itself from the land it comes from, the environment and the community and the individual are bound into a wholeness
Black is Iriginal -First people of this planet -Original, Oldest cultures
Where white (supremacy seeks to gain power and prestige, material gain and fame
Black seeks enlightenment, going with the Iniversal flow instead of trying to force, coherse, dominate and get for Itself
Black is devotional, musical, sovereign, harmonizing Riddim and melody, macro and micro, as above so below
I would say Black seeks to live in harmony with the natural and Universal order of things where white seeks to lord over and conquer
does this make sense? can yah see the light of these tings I say?
I know saying these things will spark controversy and I will be misoverstood as being some kind of racist an tood its a thing one needs to try drop these presumptions and assumptions and feel
I natural kinda ting
lets not get into "oh but black people kill and dominate and usurp others rights" that is true but we are simply talking about the thing in the context of RASTAFARI culture which is an enlightening movement and not the poor black mans struggle to survive in a hostile world
or the sexist black mans downpression or adulterous carnality which is no different from the "white supremacist" mentality of running the world ina boys club kinda way

I think the best thing to know what he himself mean is to ask him. I respect the reasoning though.

it the same as saying Black Power. Black Power isn't the same as white power because black power represents uplifting blacks so they can overcome oppression and unite against the oppressor (which a lot of the time comes from whites).

Greetings in the Name of the Most High Jah RasTafari       With Out Apology
Blessed and Ivine Love,
Give thanks Sistah Nyah, beautifully expressed, InI would just like to make mention that  the NiaBinghi is the oldest order of RasTafari, and we foundations are set in the NiaBinghi, We have to embrace the whole Rasta icept in order to gain full overstanding, The NiaBinghi is the Mystics which are all powerful and H.I.M Haile Selassie is the Head, It was through the Mystics of The Nia Binghi  that the K.K.K were afflicted by a mysterious illness, that lead to some of their deaths because of what they were doing to black people, it iven made it into the Jamaican Times Newspaper dated Saturday December 7th which was 3 months after Italy invaded Ethiopia, If we do not overstand the foundations of Rasta we cyan overstand Rasta,
InI ilieve it is fi we own advancement that we really know what we foundations are in order to achieve,
Peace and Love

Brother I've seen black panthers full of hate chanting "black power" and they're talking about blacks being the master race. It seems somewhat unfair to I that a white should have to explain the context in which he means it if he was to say "white power". Perhaps hes just proud of who he is and what his race has achieved? And many whites need uplifting bredren, I've seen many many whites starving in the gutter.

@ brotha Maorilion
the Black panthers did NOT hate whites, in fact they had White, Chinese, Native American, Hispanic and many more different members of the Black Panthers. the black panthers were formed to help uplift ALL oppressed people and to put an end to Racism and police brutality. they also opened kitchens for poor people and helped feed thousands of people a day. they did more for the people than our governor ever did.

they chanted black power and power to the people because that's exactly what they were trying to do, they were cleaning up the ghettos and giving back to the community so the youth could have the power and strength they needed to stop corruption. because the cops were NOT doing it so someone had to.
seen?
bless up.

@Fiyah

I understand the concept of death to black and white oppresses just the word supremacy has always meant bad to I. And I'm sure that a black man has chanted black supremacy meaning that blacks are better and a white has chanted white power meaning pride in his race. I just wasn't exactly clear on the context. If the I could offer some reading material on the subject I'd greatly appreciate it.
