Dancehall is just another form of pop music.  Dancehall artist contredict themselves when they say and try to live the rasta way but they are fueling babylons fire by making rich people richer by their garbage music.

Indeed much dancehall IS a form of pop music...this applies to Sean Paul but even SOME of Capleton's work. I & I don't think the one drop should ever be done by machine.

That said - the Wailers, Burning Spear, Steel Pulse, Andrew Tosh, Ziggy, Buju Banton.

I think it is a sign from Jah that there is so much great conscious reggae music coming out of all corners of the earth right now!!!

Jah be Praised!!

it is hard to categorize, but here is my current list (this will change by tomorrow  [smiley=wink.gif]):

1. Richie Spice
2. Chuck Fenda
3. Bascom X
4. Fanton Mojah "hail the King"
5. Perfect "Tall Black Marcus"
6. Gentleman "Dem Gone" great start to the CD but  . . .
7. Jr. Gong's "Jam Rock" --can't wait for the full album!
8. Jah Cure feat. Jah Mason--"Run Come Love Me" jamming it all weekend!
8.  But I will never be without me Sizzla, Luciano, Steel Pulse, and the like.

One Love!

@ bandit and all other people who think the same thing...

Why are u saying that dancehall artists try to live the rasta way? Not everybody who comes from Jamaica or is a reggae/ragga artist is a rasta the percentage of rasta's in Jamaica is pretty low for that matter... I read this so often and I always wonder why people think that way. Is it a must if you are a reggae artist to be a ras?

One day I even read a thread where someone did seh: "if Gregory Isaacs was a ras I woulda like his music but now he just another baldhead and I don't give his music any attention again" wha dat? Gregory did ras a long time ago, wha mi did hear was that because of some white thing wha him bun and he waan start ova he did trim, if thats true i don't know but the man voice nice so...wha the fuss about ras or no ras? If you don't want 2 listen 2 an artist cause him nuh ras don't listen 2 him simple.

my favourites by the way [smiley=grin.gif]

nuff ah dem but right now....

richie spice, chuck fenda, capleton, lukie d, FREE!!! jah cure, anthony cruz, sizzla...  [smiley=wink.gif]
