a poem for my negus

when you are down an feel to frown- trod on natty trod on
life gets hard and your heart feels scarred trod on natty trod on
problems an stress from these no rest rise up rastaman rise up
worries an grief yet still no relief rise up rastaman  rise up
babylon system caan hold i n i no longa
for i man faith in jah each day is growin stronga
for so long we have been held in bondage
we will breakthe chains of mental slavery and set jah people free
when you are down an feel to frown

Beautiful. Reminded me very much of early Culture-type chants. I don't know how much you've heard of them but they're early material has a lot of call-and-response repetition like that, with pure consciousness in the middle.

Anyway. Keep up Jah works. Brought a smile to InI.  [smiley=smiley.gif]
