It is much easier for I to learn more about Rastafari on the internet then other ways.  Where I live there are not many rastas and I really don't have any other way to learn of Jah's love

Selamita,

Good post EmpressGong, enjoyed every bit of it.

Andrew the internet is the wrong to learn (for most people), a lot of information on the internet is inaccurate, i think that's part of what Ras Ravin I was talking about when he said everyone want their own "house", it's mostly because of the confusion.

Here's something I think everyone should read.

Marcus Garvey: Life and Lessons

P.S. If you think being Afrocentric makes me or anyone a racist, then (no disrespect) you need to rethink the steps you're taking. Just read the book i mentioned.

INTERNET RASTA

How good and pleasant it is for InI to reason in
inity, the real question is” are we really reasoning
in love and inity"? Or are we trying to show each
other how much we think we know? Are we doing this to
boost our egos or are we doing the reasoning to
elevate and upgrade the quality of life for our
people? Are we doing it because we know how to use
computers? cause not everybody in the world have a
computer, so some people are not seeing you or will
never know who you are.

The thing is, most of the time we see that ones who
seemingly think that because they have a college
education makes them more elevated because they can
use  long and large words. That really has no
relevance to life and the existence of InI people.

Let I tell you what we don’t need,( and personally I
don’t really care how you take it)  we don’t need
lengthy rhetoric’s, and  “deep” reasoning that don’t
bear fruit, and in the end are only empty words,
action speaks louder than words,

So keep in mind while you come on the internet and
post your lengthy reasons for why you think the world
is as it is, people are dying and suffering and in
need of support and help, what are you doing to help?

Everywhere, everyday a new Rasta organization takes
birth, a new line of reasoning, another one jump on
the bandwagon, a new reggae musician is born, a new
song is sung, a new fashion is created, everyone wants
to create their “own” little Rasta house, they all
have reasons why we should eat this and not eat that,
and how and why we should join this or that house of
Rases and which one is right and which one is wrong
and who is black and who is white, meanwhile, all we
doing is actually boosting our egos, “new” Rasta
philosophies are rising on a daily basis, now we have
the “fulfilled” Rastas, the original concept and
tenets of Rastafari is being silently and skillfully
diverted away from its Afrocentric spiritual base to
satisfy the slave master’s need to remain in control
of our labor, these posers who are still colonized and
indoctrinated with European Christianity and religious
beliefs, they want nothing more than to retain control
of the way they have educated us to “see” God.

Now, the other thing is, the language, this one kills
me, for some reason or the other, ones believe that
they must speak patois, (preferably Jamaican) so they
post on the internet boards in pure “patois” or at
best try to, and I sit and wonder, perhaps I may have
missed something, why is it that we think we have to
“sound” like a Caribbean person to be considered
Rasta? Does this give us authenticity or do you think
that you will be easier accepted? In all my life on
this trod I have never seen where it says that we have
to do that. Listen people, stop doing that, if you are
not from the Caribbean, leave the patois alone,
because when you write it, it “sounds” like when you
put your foot in dog poop. It would be more
productive, if you learnt the concept and phonics of
“I-n-I” Rasta word sound. Hear is some information for
you, Caribbean people DO NOT write in patois, simply,
because it is not a language, although it is spoken,
it varies from island to island, so it cannot be
“pinned” down to one phonical sound, that is why the
Rasta language is more universal, as it was designed
by Jah to serve I-n-I in different parts of the world,
the concept of “I” is easier to bend into our communal
word sound.

So while you sit and argue and not come to any
conclusion, and ask for source proof of reasonings,
keep in mind that all you are doing is being
contentious, funny how the educated dunces always ask
for proof and they say “produce your sources” and I
get this from mostly European people and colonized
Blacks. It’s as though us “uneducated” people can’t
think for ourselves.

While you loudmouths write your pretty words and
lengthy reasons, and act as though you know, and tell
me that you “identify” with my pain, let me tell you
something, you don’t have a clue as to what pain is,
let me tell you another thing, when a people has been
dehumanized, victimized, and robbed of cultural
identity from name change to the very core of their
spiritual livity, that is pain, can you “identify
“with that? Or do you believe that by dressing in our
cultural clothing qualifies you to be “in pain” do you
believe that dress codes is all you need to “become”
like I n I ? While we accept the teachings and lessons
of HIM Haile Selassie, let me remind you, as HIM
treated the Italians with love and mercy and
forgiveness, likewise we do the same for you, so do
not come and ask me to “produce my sources”. JAH IS MY
SOURCE.

The Rastafari nation needs its adherents to organize
and centralize its economic and spiritual base, so as
to better approach I-n-I problems, the word is “come
out of her my children”

We all want the same thing, when I sit in my hammock
and listen to the pain of my people, and smell the
blood that has been shed, I can still smell the blood
of the 60's and 70's of the good friends who have
fallen in battle so that you can come on the internet
and ask me for sources,
Know this, we are runaway slaves! We are building a
nation from the scraps of humanity; there are those of
us who still nurse the wounds left on our bodies and
minds inflicted on us by this dirty and corrupted
shitstem.

Glad to have read this post. Lots of lesson that can be learn..
thnx for posting this..
