Well Ras Rootsridge,
Iman guess yuh read dis pon a "dreadlocking site"?
Well, the vow says nuttin bout how the locks dem should look, so, for Iman - me see dat one can separate the hair in squares if the one wants it, and He can not do it. Me see hand-dreading/separating hair in squares and so on, as if one plant a egological field. But well, 100% natty is pureness to the fullness.
And just always remember, nah get dreads just to get dreads.

Whites can also have 100% untouched natty dreadlocks, dem just nah look in teh same way.

ITES ONENESS BREDDA SELAH!

I'm a woman who wants to become Rasta.

I'm not sure if InI should lox up my hair.  I'm half indian & half west indian so as my friends would say, 'I got good hair'.

My partner is of course a rasta & he's been growing his locks since he was 10 years old so you can imagine how long they are - his locks are beautiful & I love playing with them.

Tell me how I should wear my hair - all responses gratefully accepted.

Haile Bless

Greetings Miranda I.
Always do, what yuh heart an Iditation (meditation) bout rastafari tell yuh.
Serious ting.
If yuh waan fi be a nazirite, get the locks, if yuh waan fi have pure natty dreads just because of yuh faith an as an symbol then go ahead.
Just don't get it if yuh just waan it fi "fun".

Greetings brothas and sistahs! Yah talkin about squares of hair to make di locks of yours? That is if yah want to make the locks with a comb yes... Then yah take di hair 2times2 centimeter in a square and make a lock of that. But InI say let hair grow as natural as possible! Me friend is tellin' me to use green soap to make it dread faster, but me dont know if InI should, even if green soap is natural... Why not let it lock natural, if Jah wants me to have locks, he will bless me with them sooner or later. InI is in no rush, me gonna be rasta all me life! Bless and Jah blessing!

Be easy,

Brotha soldier, Does the I want his locks to be clean?  Just rinsing with clear water helps, but without soap, your scalp will still be dirty.  Not to mention that this green soap does not make your hair lock faster.  What it does is takes the natural oils out the I's hair.  in turn, this makes your hair drier and more natty.  it also cleans your scalp and can take away the itchies.  The I should not wash daily.  when first growing locks, you should wash maybe once or twice a week.  a healthy head leads to healthy locks.

Bless up

I now use green soap (the one you clean stuff with) to wash InI's hair! Its 100% natural, soap made from trees. Though there's 0,2% parfume. My hair really looks like afro but its starting to grow into eachother! Cheers!

Irie!!
getting lice out of dreads is a pain in the arse! Lived with lice in me dreads for two years tried everything in that time to get them out, nothing worked, tough little fellas that lay eggs in the dread, very difficult to get at. So me missus and me mates were none to happy at this stage!! ;D Anyway ended up shaving the manky buggers off, very sad day! Not to worry dreads are back again, clean and happy...have since learnd that dreadhead hq have a link devoted to gettin rid of lice...shuks
