"Jah" RasTarfarI

If Jah literal translation is God.

Why do those, even of belief that Selassie I was not God in its literal meaning, still use the greeting "Jah" Rastafari or "in the name of the most high, jah rastafari"?

Not really sure what the I's question is exactly but I'll try to answer it.

We say "Jah Rastafari" because RasTafarI is the most high, Jah almighty. I'm not sure if Ras who don't know H.I.M as Jah say "Jah RasTafarI" but mabye just "In the name of H.I.M Ras TafarI." or something to that affect.

you will find Rasta's who don't see Selassie as JAH eternal

Don't say JAH before the word Rastafari

Rastas who dont see His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I as God, they dont usually say JAH RASTAFARI... As when you say "Jah Rastafari" it shows that they are One. And if someone dont believe that, he or she shouldnt say it.

Yes it is a bit of an assumption to say ones say it that don't believe it.....however I do observe and resonate with the Iception of ones who see all as equal and Ivine and who see the Jah in each and everyone, not just in His Majesty, they may call anyone Jah and so would not feel away about saying Jah RastafarI in a oneness mentality without elevating His Majesty above the rest of humanity

Overstand that not all rasta see H. I. M as Jah almighty.  Some see H. I. M as a prophet or guide, though not Father or Creator of I and I.

A justification of this view may be that I and I are not allowed to know the image of Jah?

Why do those, even of belief that Selassie I was not God in its literal meaning, still use the greeting "Jah" Rastafari?
The person of the emperor HIM Haile Selassie I is held as the Most High according to His anointing on King David's throne. Which probably goes further in explaining peoples confusion as to what constituted the "literal meaning" of "g-d" as opposed to why people who might be described as "not seeing Selassie literally as g-d" would still say "Jah Rastafari". Rasta don't move from claiming the Kings Ivinity and Supreme Character by definition. If you know JAH you know Rastafari already so there is no insinuation but for the weak heart.

not all rasta see H. I. M as Jah almighty.
Only for lack of vision. Which is indeed more of "InI" these days. And thats only Rasta, Not RASTAFARI.
