Poor Hilary
« on: March 13, 2008, 05:32:30 AM »

Although not an American, i have been following he lead up to the elections with interest.
Hilary's outburst today really stands out.
"If Obama were white, he wouldn't be in the position he is in now. If Obama were a woman (white or black) he wouldn't be in the position he is in now"

Sounds like sour grapes to me.

Ises,
It was actually Geraldine Ferraro, her honorary finance chair who said those things.  The irony is that Ferraro is the only woman in us history to get an actual nomination by either major party to run on a presidential ticket (1984).  Funny thing is agree with her because alot of amerikkkans are somewhat tired of good ole boys running everything and nothing in reality except war and political corruption.  The attitude of some is that we've been burned by everyone else, so what will it hurt? Even though I also do agree Wahine that for Ferraro to say it now does sound like a bit of a sore loser.

Obama took the State of Vermont Overwhelmingly,
as many here are not only tired of the way tings have gone in this country, but Hilary just will not stop.  Although I have no problem with a woman candidate, or president for that matter, what she represent is the same privileged people that have ruled for so long.  Not to mention her acceptance of her husbands' infidelity.  They are not what they appear to be.
The reason so many want Obama as our President is that it is time to smash things as they stand.
Time for the ultimate representative whose people were once slaves in this country which stand for liberty and Justice for ALL.
Time for us to regain a helpful stance in this world and help set an example for those that want to break the bonds of oppression.
Time for us to Stand up and shout !, for if we do not, we shall have to whipser of freedom for the people in the shadows.
Time for Jah people to rise up and stand together and sing~~~YES WE CAN !!!~~~

Many thanks for the correction. I just happened to hear it incorrectly as i was passing by the tv. But good to know who actually said it. I will continue to watch (and listen a little better). Very keen to see the outcome.

I really like Obama...too bad he's a pro-gun control, pro-involuntary government run health care socialist.

His black supremacy ties don't even bother me.
You'd have to talk long and hard to convince me he's against anyone based on race or skin color.

(Nuts, I have crazy friends. Some are even howling at a full moon Pagans. I'M not. If I can get over THOSE differences I can get over  Obama's friends for sure.)

But this country has been socialized enough.

We need LESS government in health care not more.

Hillary- she's mean, she's underhanded, and she's sneaky and dishonest.
While those all seem to be adaptive qualities for a president, we like our leaders to hide those things a bit better than she's managed.

;)

Obama may actually be TOO honest.

God bless.

it doesn't matter who wins in the end, they can't do anything for you. Rastafari is the only one and the perfect one who can rule mankind. Until the big politicians find Rastafari too the world is never going to change.

Absolutely seen, MaoriLion.

And it isn't even productive to consider.

It isn't even the dressing on a side salad.

All of the Power and all of the Glory are God's and God's alone, and until we all recognize this and submit ourselves willingly as obedient servants and loving children of Jah Almighty the world will never heal.

It is all in God's hands: the elections, the candidates, the pollsters, the people.

ALL of it is in the hands of the Almighty Living Loving God.

Bless UP!

Greetings Idren,
I man have thought of bringing this topic a few weeks ago when I added "Yes WE can" to the tag on I profile.  Although it is not widly accepted for Rastafari to engage in politics, this had been a topic brought up by Sistah Vee.  Browse her proile or look to the pages past to find views on this.
As far as Obama "doing" anything for us, InI would like to add a view.  It is not that politicians will ever DO anything, but throught a Guided Heart By the Most I, we have leaders bring about change.  The only thing that stands in the way is Babylon.  As Always.  It should be a ground SWELL of ones all over this country and the world to wake up and shatter the illusion that they have been put UNDER a SPELL.  OVERstand this, Bredren and Sistren, Rastafari is a Broad Reality that can wake the world from the Negative.  Positive has a conter part, yes I, but it is not meant for us to live as slaves to Babylon.
No, NO, We must speak on what we have learned with an open heart.  We must reach out and fight for what is right IN the Name and With a Heart of Jah Rastafari.  Power of a Lion with the Love of the Lamb.
NO ONE will do it for US.
What say the I~Dren to that?
I man am no prophet!, but am a child.  A man. Only one amongst many.  It is how we see ourselves and our future and each other that we must find a way to better our place amongst each other.  It shall not be gained by doing and acting no way. FEEL a WAY !
  Jah Guide and Protect.

I would like to add that I feel it pertinent that I and I pray for Obamas safety, if he succeeds in winning office.....and is truly an incorruptible leader.....he will be in serious jeopardy, coz if we look at ourstory, many good, honest and righteous leaders have been assasinated by the current worldly powers....
I and I pray for the righteous, who have the courage to stand up and deliver, who tell the truth and act from their Jah-guided heart
that thru the power of our collective minds and hearts, we can help safeguard them that intent to bring justice, compassion and truth into this system....
for Jah helps them that help themselves and others...
truly we live in times of great risk and it is like walking along a knifes edge....
with so much lies and deception, it takes a livicated soul to sift thru all the information to discover truth of what is happening, and what is happening is both more horrifying and more wonderful that most care to imagine....it takes all of us, to commit to truth, no matter the cost, for the future of our children and even our own souls, and that means facing the darkside of our collective creation..our fears, vices, denials, the illusions we have unwittingly bought into, the privileges we take for granted that come at such a tragic cost to so many others, which gives us huge rasponsibility and power to inform and motivate, heal and address the current climate of both great evil and great light......each one of us could be the tipping point for massive change in either direction.....it truly is
UP TO US!!!!!!
