Rasta Chat- Religion?
« on: June 19, 2008, 09:21:01 PM »

i have spent quite a lot of time reading these forums and have never heard any one on here describe rastafari as a religion, and i no see rasta as a religion but under the rasta chat section has the heading "General discussion about the Rastafarian religion". why is this and should it be changed?

thanks

RasTafari is, just as traditional christianity and judaism, not a "religion" but Faith.

Selassie I spoke against "religion" but he was a christian and read the Ible, and lived thereafter.

Greetings John,
Respect to the I for reading these many things on this wonderful site!, I had spent @ 2 years doing the same asking only humble questions .  There are many stories and much life to be shared if we only reach out to oneanother with Love and respect.
The answer to this question rests with the creator of this site, Bredren Nick.  It is a curious one, as the I is right, in seeing this Trod as a I~ritual Faith in the Most I along with our Bredren and Sistren.
JAHLove,trod on, mi Bredda.

Yes I guess the wording should be changed .. since clearly Rasta is a way of life, a way of thinking, acting, behaving, being. Still it is only a word ... as surfmon I said there is plenty to read here :-)

May Jah bless you

Its a good and complicated question that has been asked many times. I like it because a lot of times when we read into ones words I and I see that ones and ones feel such a way about the word religion, Because dem relationship with JAH nah Iron. Religion Just means the worship of G-d. Is that Rastafari, With No doubt. But nuff CONFusion with the Churchyites sameway. Whats really sumptin is that ones will debate over a simple word and come against Rasta all the time for the way dem feel as a tactic to distract I and I and hinder I and I works because them tremble at Rasta and no we are the beginning of their end. The world feels a way about g-d and religion in these times. There has been big moves in the mainstream media against religion and religious trodition. It manifests in the whole new age and consciousness movements, also alot of the khemtic sights are fundamentally anti-religion because they deny the supernatural. It is just a big stupid CONFusion and These are signs already prophesied(in our "religion") by HIS IMPERIAL MAJESTY. I and I know that in these times many people will come speaking against the ways of our fathers and promoting a bunch of new flashy crap.  When JAH finally shows them the truth they will shut their mouths about I and I religion fe good.

That is to assume ones aren't bound heart and soul to JAH.  Live the Blessed Life which is our gift to chant ones down.  I and I KNOW JAH, do not assume because ones do not want to be bound by man's principals that we are free of the AlMighty.  JAH is IVERYTHIN and Iverywhere.

Who would that be? JAH is everything except those that deny HIM, Who are nothing and nowhere.

I find it ironic that there is a website advertisment on the bottom of the page for

"dates with single muslims"  "MEET THEM TODAY! JOIN NOW"
