So, do others see the "two sides" of God? right and left you could say...the Law and abiding by it one side and the nurturing, embracive side of unconditional love......both necessary..like the role of both parents.....
one side seems ruthless...yet ultimately keeps an order that nurtures healthy life..despite our limited capacity to overstand it or even understand it.....
it is a reflection of the deepest part of our collective Psyche.....as well as reflecting  gender (or animas and anima) expressions
when peoples are in the chaos of societal change.....Jah, in His omniesent wisdom and Love...brings in directives to help order chaotic, lacking-healthy-direction minds....remember, we can never be cut off from the wellspring of our being, however, we can isolate ourselves thru rebellious actions that do not benefit the whole....sort of like a quarantining process
so is it healthy to question? of course...
would we be endowed with the ability to reason and question if it were forbidden or frowned upon by "He Who Causes All Things And Beings To Be (come)"?
Ultimately the answers are known within us and so when we read or hear something, the confirmation comes from within....however we can get in the way of our own knowing by carrying old baggage around.....
remember we enter the Kingdom as little children....open and in the moment...feeling it all as it happens without running from or shutting down
btw...I'm saying this because I need to hear it myself. having been going thru extreme stress Iself lately.....If only I had a bona fida Church and Elders to go to and seek help from......
But we ras types have to contend with very little infrastructure sometimes....
Of Course, Ones can be forgiven for allowing stress for getting the better of us...itis thru stress and mistakes that powerful lessons are learnt, from the sheer impact of such sufferation.....contrast for the peace to come....
Love up and thanks for still being here, it is something for my frail sense of wellbeing to hold on to right now
Blessings to I on-line community

We have to find confirmation where it comes, yes?

Bless up, Nyah.
You have a lot to do, but Yah is carrying you.
Be strong in His strength.

Do not worry!

As to what God says or does not say- who are we to judge?

I believe that people can hear God, overstand, and relay accurately then people can hear the relay, overstand that, and not have it match what was originally written or said by the first hearer AND it can be equally valid.

It makes perfect sense to me that a psychoactive would be used in temple worship and not allowed for personal use. Maybe it is allowed for personal use- maybe the "will be cut off" is self-inflicted- it is a warning, not a threat.

We must learn to give all the parts of our selves, one to the other.
All is for the glory of God.

Bless up!

Surely I can give thanks and praises to the Most High without a congregation. With personal use you mean not recognizing the Most High?

We are supposed to gather in His name.

As to "being cut off", I am addressing specifically the incense mentioned in scripture that is to be used in temple worship. The purpose of the incense isn't stated, as far as I know.

"Personal use" brings up a good point.
If we are always praying with a part of our mind, then we are always using in communion with God.
Overanalyzing motivations, even our own, can lead to serious rationalizing and in my opinion is best avoided.
As long as we are constantly working to complete our hearts and love one another and love God why we smoke this herb this time, alone or in company, should not be at issue.

It wouldn't occur to us, though, to extend that to overriding a direct request from God.

I have no intelligent opinion about THE herb as it relates to what is or is not scriptural.
I don't see it directly addressed?

A Rasta board would be an odd place indeed to argue against ALL psychoactives, yes?

Bless up.

Elijah I, I wasn't comparing Jesus and Moses in any way that I knew.

I was saying that Jesus refers to the Torah as the Law of Moses.

My understanding is that Jesus does not allow divorce at all.
I have some thoughts on why it is set up how it is in the Torah.
That would be another thread.
To me, it all makes sense.
Any Torah that doesn't make sense has always been revealed as sensible to me through new learning or a more complete heart. This is why I just believe. Every time I've argued with God I've been shown to not understand the issue.

Bless up!

Yes and Jesus also refers to himself as the fulfillment of that law. So to the extent that you see Jesus as Holy you must see the Law as Holy. Whether it is through the laws fulfillment that Jesus is holy, or that the law is Holy because the Son of JAH fulfills it is chicken/egg which are hardly opposing.

Yes. Of course it is Holy.

Since God is not constrained by space or time, both must be equally valid and true.

Bless up.

The point is that there really isn't "two" things. The "new Testament" doesn't have the same scriptural authority as the tanackt. More like a historical compendium of the revelation found in the Torah.

Right.
I was referring to Yeshuah Himself being Torah Fulfilled.

Brother Elijah I, I myself did not make the distinction.
You made the distinction and I explained why it is that I do not.

We are in agreement, I believe, in these reasonings.

Yes you did. You said it was "a matter of embracing opposites" as if Jesus and the Law of Moses were opposites. To which the You?man? duppy fanclub chimed in his support. Its what people have been doing a long time to use "Christianity" to alienate the Jews. While on the other hand where is it that you claim I make such distinction? Sounds like more tactics to me, I give props where its due though, 2000 years of practice not bad huh?
