The Four Agreements
« on: September 05, 2008, 09:05:44 PM »

Greetings ,
A Brethren gifted a powerfully strong and simple book named " The Four Agreements" by Don Miguel Ruiz.  Many Thanks are given to this Friend, for many hours we have spoken on Oneness and politricks, as such.  We are from completely differing points of view, but are somehow bound by love of reasoning.  He is one of few outlets I man physically are able to relate topics of Rastafari Culture.
I found it very easy to read this short book, but also found a great vision of the simple things we are able to focus on each day.  The four agreements touch greatly pon the very principles I man try to observe, and consciousness that we have in common.
  To outline the agreements briefly, they are;

1. Be Impeccable With Your Word.
2. Don't Take Anything Personally.
3. Don't Make Assumptions.
4. Always Do Your Best.

Am wondering what the I dem think of any or all of it.

All the way Brother.

Taking things personally is a pre-punched ticket on the crazy train.
It will eat one alive, mind first.

Always get the facts first.
I am a bad example of this. So many times through the years I've had to tell my children "See what I just did? I didn't get all of the facts first and I got mad, and really no-one did anything wrong and I got mad for nothing."

The Power of the Word must never be overlooked.
It is SO important, especially with children, that if you say you will do something you actually do it.

I understand "best."
Some things it might be better said to always do them correctly and well?
It is certainly hard to tolerate half-hearted efforts, but some of us get paralyzed by this philosophy.

Many years ago I learned "Something is better than nothing."

It was liberating.
Made it easier to do my best.

Blessed Love Natty,
The four agreements mentioned are quite powerful and Iveryday I reflect this wisdom which I try to absorb in I life.  It is the way of RasTafari.  Mystic, Deeper than what is on the surface.  The symbolism of a smokey mirror and dreams seem quite true as to how many may get dragged thru life.  We Must wake up and Love oneanother!  Iritual Warriors, fight for the freedom Jah gave us, that has been clouded over by mankind all for the sake of CONtrol.
  Light of Lights,
JahGuide us.
