Never have InI been so outraged with the I's own blood.

InI have no clue what to think/do of the I's.....

sounds like a normal day in a youths life to me,

love them , pray for their overstanding, dont throw a wobbly and be dignified.. thats the only way you earn their respect for your faith.

Don't worry, Idren.

All youth suffer from parents  ;)

Their understanding dosen't matter. I father is a Christian Priest  ::)

Dear Bredren, I heart goes out to ya.  Many years back and until a short time ago, I was troubled by similar gettings along with othren.  As Queen Jo states, sounds typical for the youth, for it is in this time we are growing into what it is meant for us.
Thinking on this after I departed this am, it struck I that what we feel is not in actuality "back stabbed" but lack of support.  Lack of respect for commitment .  It is also worthy to see that many times we yearn for this when in fact it is ourselves that must come to terms with who we are.  This must be shown to others and chiefly withIn ones self.
It is communion with the Most I, and on that level there is none but ourselves that can set free, for JAH is always with us.

very well put sista
growing up so far in life i have learned that if you worry bout what others say to you, you wont be able to properly reason upon more important things. just put that to the side n focus on educating your self about you faith.
n if you have any questions feel free to ask any one.
in life you are constantly being shown tools to better your self, it all depends how you use them. seen?
blessings n guidance

Brother, it seems your making a huge deal out of nothing.

So what your parents don't understand your relationship with God.

The whole point of this spiritual understanding is to be at peace with yourself, why worry what others think?

My parents are quite negative and see me as a "confused child",
Just gotta spread that love brother,

everythings gonna be alright ;D

InI feel for you Idren, InI am 19, been trodding Rastafari for 3.5 years now and dem still say its a phase&call Iman childish(go figure..) you know you haffi be strong, Rasta is no easy trod, everyone will turn on the I, I's family, friends, just hang in there, know that Jah is with the I at all times, InI am also going through a rough time due to lack of support but as InI already said to a Sistren in here, InI read a sentence in a book that Iman always say when Iman get low, "if you hungry cuz you Ras then its good, if you thirsty cuz you Ras then its good, if they hit you cuz you Ras then its good", from everything the I can learn and grow and there are many tests on the way, many blessings come in disguise, Iman just have to look carefully and you will see..

And also nah be angry bout your family, Rasta is totally different from what they know, they nah know how to react so like most humans they go offensive, just keep going, InI have given up on trying to explain Iself a long time ago, they nah overstand anyway&Jah is the only One InI have to explain Iself to.

Jah Bless Idren,
Ras Saadon.

Pray for everyone all of the time.

Good answers all here.

Must honor the parents, but I cannot help but think some people are best honored by being ignored when they are being ignoble.

My mother mocked me for being a Christian, and I was well into my thirties at the time.
She said I was too smart to believe in God.
I told her apparently I wasn't as smart as she thought. ;)

She's mellowed now.
Eve prays at meals sometimes.

Bless up!
