Repatriation
« on: October 08, 2010, 08:59:24 PM »

Greeting again.
I would like to say that you have helped me to see many things that were confusing to me but I am still confused about many other things.

I have seen many people asking if a white man or woman can be a Rasta. Some have said no, but more often then not the answer has been yes, as long as they devote their life to Jah and Selassie I. If this is so, what does that do to one of the founding principles of Rastafari, that being repatriation of all Africans. As Peter Tosh says "Don't care where you come from as long as you're a black man you're and African".

How do the non-African Rastas factor into this?

And if someone is not African, are they qualified to comment on Rasta belief?

I did not read through some of the other threads started on this forum before posting this question. I have since remedied this and now see that this question has been addressed more than enough times on this forum. Humble apologies.

Rasta is not about location, it is about whom you are,

You cannot define a man by the soul under him feet. but by his actions and words..

Some "houses" of rastafari are very much into repartration, especially 12 tribes of israel and bobo shanti..

however the majority of Rasta's will live in babylon, it is a complete choice that is only to be decided by you!

Blessed

Iman will post something that I wrote on another Reasoning board to illustrate I view on this:

Repatriation is still and always will be one of the most important things Rastafari people support, no matter their colour.

Since Iman a Rasta from England, many look at I and think that Iman am trying to be African or Jamaican or something like that but none of them overstand what Rastafari are saying when I and I talk about Repatriation.  Marcus say that Africa is for Africans and Rastafari people of any colour sight that and promote that and chant down the babylon system that take the Africans out of their land, but Africa is not the only land that babylon stole and Africans are not the only people who suffer under it.

People of every colour suffer under babylon, whether it is the Africans living in economic slavery in the slums of Jamaica, or the Native Americans confined to reservations with their lands occupied and exploited, or even English people living trapped in babylons materialistic rat race surrounded by concrete.  Rastafari chant down all this downpression in all its forms.  I and I want babylon gone from all places and the world restored to the natural order of things through international Repatriation so that mankind can live in Inity.
Some still confuse that with some kind of babylonian racist segregation but that is just folly since Rastafari chant Inity between all people of all colours to work towards the goals of equal rights and justice for all.

So when people ask I if I support African Repatriation and Reparations as a European Rasta, Iman say yes with no apology.  No matter I and I colour, I and I stand Inited.

Blessed love.
