The Cause of the Current Economic Crisis
« on: December 05, 2010, 04:21:15 PM »

When we have so many empty, boarded up houses, and so many people without homes, you realize that our economic system is woefully dysfunctional.

At some point we have to take a critical look at our systems of banking.

When you do, you can see that interest based debt lending is an untenable model of regulating the money supply.

The so called "business cycle" is actually a repeated expansion and contraction of the money supply, caused by fraudulent interest based lending.

Banks that create x amount of dollars and lend it into circulation at interest, while demaing x+y amount of dollars in return are playing a shell game, by demanding more back in repayment than has been created and lent into the money supply in the first place.

That is the core and essence of our problem, and it is the cause of this current recession, as well as nearly every recession and depression that has ever occurred.

That is a large part of the cause of the current world economic collapse, and led directly to the real estate speculation in the United States that caused the real estate housing price bubble, which drove up mortgage and rent payments, while at the same time jobs and companies were being offshored, leading to the foreclosure crisis, and the displacement and homelessness of millions.

At some point we are going to have to reform and recreate our banking and financial system to be an honest and fair deployer of the medium of exchange known as money.

The banking system is one aspect, but still another is the keeping-up-with-the-Jones'.  It is the empty value ones create when templating their lives alongside others and using that as a gauge for self-worth.
If ones were not self-victimizing by being part of the comercializing aspect of advertising, be it subliminal or outright, Ones would begin to see that self worth and the impact we have come from withIn and not exterior/superficial.
